Toldja so.
Yesterday I went out for what was supposed to just be a chill afternoon at Renegade craft fair, and somehow ended up staying out until 4am. Ooops.
Today I need to watch football, do laundry, take a nap, meet a friend for dinner, and ride to another friend's for fire pit hangs. not enough hours in the day when you don't wake up til 10.

yeah, not sure of the geography. i was crashing in N. Hollywood (Normandie?) for an underground stickfighting tournament in Redondo Beach. all i remember is the hell of trying to get over six lanes to make the left hand exit for LAX in like .5mi. luckily i got the extra insurance for the rental and aimed for expensive cars.
interestingly, money is not allowed to be exchanged on temple grounds, so you purchase denominational tokens entering the parking lot.

Yesterday I took my olde English 3-speed on a 14-mile party ride and was super-tired by the end. WTF, must have been the bike.

Today I:
Realized my bikes are getting really lonely. With my new teaching job, commute is much longer, hours are much longer, so my Buddy 125 gets ridden almost everyday. So I got my conversion out and rode the crap out of it for 30 minutes. Wudda gone longer but i rode the crap out of my legs too. Seems that 3 weeks W/O riding can kill even the best fitness. Went from getting a PR in the local hillclimb three weeks ago to this. Sucks. At least I still have fun riding the scooter...

New bars, stem and tape.
Like the bars and stem, don't know about the tape. Matching the color split was a biiiiiiiiitch.

(also got my camera game together)

Another 17 miler today. That happens to be the exact out-n-back for my house to one end of the bike path. Sweated my ass off and PR'd on two Strava segments--shaved almost a full minute off one of them. *king of my own mountain*

Today I attempted (and succeeded at) my first cowboy-mount on the road bike. I learned:
1) Loose shorts are a bad idea when you're doing these, and
2) My saddle was about 1/4" too high. I discovered perfection before getting it back up to the old height.

Today I cut and routed all the housing and cables on the roadie. Haven't hooked them to their respective parts, but they're all cut and capped.

Today I went and saw Completely Hollywood (abridged), put on by a couple students here, and directed by one of my professors. Laughed my ass off. I'm sort of a movie buff, so it constantly struck the funny bone. The two girls next to me laughed at one or two things, but hardly understood a single reference.
im very excited to see a detailed post of your build and a review of chicrabs, more and more each day im thinking about going that route when i end up getting a roadie

Bikes: thats none of your information BF
All that is left is to cut the steerer, throw the chain on, and hook up the brakes/derailleurs, and get it shifting.
I'll more than likely hook everything up sometime mid week, and on Friday, I'll take it over the the LBS and get the steerer cut.
I wouldn't have been able to wait this long, you have better patience than one of the queens gaurds
hell, as soon as i had the first parts i wouldve been piecing it together, and when i had enough to finish it i wouldve been up all night till it was done
probably even a lap around the park at 4 am just to feel it out
least thats what i did with my first build, and i dont expect it to be any different for my next bike lol
