Today I:
RC Cola! I haven't had soda in probably 10 years but man, that stuff is the TITS. I don't see it too often in my area.

Last night I degreased/measured/relubed the chain on the FG out of boredom, and was surprised by how dead-quiet it was afterward. Wasn't squeaking before, but now I have a better reference for how it *should* sound. /chaindiscussion

Today I put a new tube in the rear wheel of the BMX bike, now I think I'm gonna take it to class. I miss riding it all the time.
Because it is all set up as my winter commuter and switching it back and forth every week last year was a giant, annoying, pain in the butt. Also, cross takes a lot out of my life. Dedicating all day every Sunday (half of my very precious weekend) to drive out to some far-flung suburb & spend all day there, plus practicing and training, plus I suck and am way out of shape right now and have fallen back into smoking (!!!) lately due to serious life suck, plus I just don't want to.

I've pretty much cut sodas out of my diet as well but something about having one with a nice stick every now n then. Here in Texas there is RC everywhere. Loved it since I was a kid.
Today my girlfriend of 8 years was officially diagnosed with MS.
well it is a great build for around town, but yes... my frameset was built up a few different ways and getting nice stuff on it is very very worthwhile. it's heavy, but ****ing dialed in every way.
i raced on it sunday and honestly couldn't be happier. it's so ****ing quick yet stable, and stiff enough to respond to explosive efforts in the dirt....

and, of course, i was just notified that the cross race i wanted to do in October has been cancelled (Ommegang Brewery). :/

Today my Continental Super Sport finally died.

I think I got this tire back in December, it last way more then I expected.

Today I found out what was wrong with my shoulder, torn trapezius. Also cracked rim no more on the 930, and got 36 miles in on the bike, all in all a good day.

As of a few minutes ago, a friend of mine is extremely pissed off at me, for no real reason. He wanted me to go to Ann Arbor for a football game on Saturday, and was able to get a ticket from someone who had an extra for only $20. But I don't really want to. What a way to end a day that went so well.
Thanks guys. She's okay; we got a preliminary diagnosis last month. She spent the last month getting blood work, MRI's, and CT scans, so today was just the finalization of what we were already pretty sure of. It's the more "mild" of the different classifications, so we're hopeful it won't be too big a deal(whatever that means).
you only live once. dont let some crap like that rule your lives
work was a crazed whirlwind of suck today. thank goodness i can bike there. but came home to pulled pork and a freshly poured, just coming up to cellar temp, Rasputin stout. the wife is in stress panic cooking mode, with only 2 weeks left on her job. i keep telling her we're fine financially, but she just can't hear that and wants to do her part.
fencing practice was good tonight. student #1 took first in a tournament over the weekend and we dissected his performance. he's absorbed much more of Saviolo than he did with Agrippa and it shows. just have to get him to stop trying to move like i do and develop his own style.
been having fun taking the all paved, and slightly longer, county roads to work this week on the Pake. usually use the Ridley or Nature Boy and take mixed trails/path/road. too many flavors and i love them all...

Toying with the idea of converting my conversion into a SSCX bike. Its an older racing frame so it has the clearance for 32s. Gonna pick up a freewheel from the LBS this weekend and try it out. Just need to decide on some good tires for street x dirt use...

Definitely.
I'm looking at some 3T Ergonova Team Stealth Editions.
I'll drop my Pro's on you for cheap.

Just threw the chain on the roadie, and tuned everything.
Shifts on a dime, and is ready to roll. still gotta get the steerer cut though.
