It's hard for me to make the ride because I volunteer at the co-op Monday nights and I have to be at work the next morning while the ride ends/I get home at around 3am
|
Lately I've been riding in slush/rain salt so I decided to take care of my bike today and my rear hub was damn near seized! I repacked her and took it for a quick ride and damn is it a whole new world having a freely spinning hub.
|
Today I had a great commute in and back. Though on the way home some jackass nearly plows into into me when he decided he absolutely needed to be in front of me despite me having the right of way.
|
Today I confess that I know I'm friends with a lot of you dudes on FB and instagram but I don't really have real names/instagram handles mapped to your usernames here.
Except yummygoey and jdgesus. Edit: And scrod, obvs. |
today i bought a marshall 40w tube amp.
today, my neighbors must hate me. |
40w holy crap. What kind of guitar?
I'm thinking about a Fender Superchamp 15w which would be more than enough for me. Just a practice amp really. My friend kinda talked me into it, and playing his Telecaster doesn't help. I'm looking at the PRS Santana SE. |
Joined a CSA today. Super pumped.
Kohlrabi fries anyone? |

so far, i've had the volume at 2 and the walls were rattling. |
|
today i am excited because of the order i placed. In a week or so i will be back to fixed gear. I loath shifting and generally keep it in one gear as is and removing the rear tire with a der hang is annoying.

Today i rode almost 20 mi total, 15 or so in almost one go, albeit at a mellow pace ( and a stop for tacos -- had none; stop for beer -- had some) which is a new personal record for me. Could not have imagined riding that far, fixed, 2 months ago. Slowly but surely :). It feels nice not wanting to die after 5 miles.

1am tube change not so successful. Guess I'm not riding to work tomorrow.
http://distilleryimage1.s3.amazonaws...0a9f1423_7.jpg Lessons learned: always buy n+1 tubes, and maybe don't change tubes at 1am if you're expecting to ride in a couple hours. |
it took me awhile before i learned, flats on the go and what not. i carry a small pouch under seat with co2 kit and extra tube plus three to four extra tubes at the house. tubes are cheap.
plus i think you can buy them in bulk online |

Yeah, my friend has a 30w I think and we keep it below the halfway and it's STILL loud. Could definitely be used as an amp for a small show.

by Ti i think they mean "silver"
even the alum GT edge is mo shiny. could ti that they sanded dull? those do not look like ti welds. |
Still would ride though.
1x10 (i'm assuming 10) with Duracci track crank = puresecks. EDIT: click on the pic to see it in the owner's Flickr page. There's also a pic of it set up FG/SS, and it looks shiny there. EDIT again: did the work for y'all |

Today I found a huge piece of glass in my rear bontranger hard case, tire and tube are both fine though!
