Bikes: BMX, fixed gear

For halloween, I decided to walk around kitted for a night. Beer pockets! Another night I'm just throwing on some of the soccer stuff I own. Not spending a dime on costumes this year.

haha thats awesome. If more of my friends were into bikes/bike culture, and understood something like that, I would have to steal the idea from you.

Today I got some longer allen wrenches with some kinda extra leverage handle deal.

Was that carbon handlebar expensive? My bad.

I was debating over that set @ home depot last month; too bad I don't trust husky tools and went for a set by eklind instead.

today i: had the strangest encounter ive ever had working at school

I was sitting at the front desk and had a student come up to me and start talking to me clearly with some sort of problem or agenda saying
"why did you answer the phone with such an attitude the last time I called you?!"

So I politely asked said "excuse me, I'm not sure what you're talking about, what room? when did this happen?"

He then said "your little room over there", and I asked "which room? the other computer lab?"
He says "no" (he never would tell me when this supposedly happened)
I ask "the helpdesk? ive only worked there one time"
he says "no, the little room as soon as you come in right by the door over there"
(I can only assume he was referring to the so called breakroom where the supplies and keys are held, which has no phone.)

I continue to explain to him that I don't know what hes talking about, how I don't remember having a conversation with him on the phone. (not to mention I would never answer the phone with an attitude here at work.)
He looks frustrated and looks like hes trying to come up with something to say and says " you have a very distinguishable voice, and a very snarky attitude. the next time I talk to you you better not be a little b****" and proceeds to walk out of the lab.

I have encountered this student before in this lab, and both times it was quite odd, but never this strange and menacing. The first time he asked about a bracelet I was wearing and I told him my girlfriend gave it to me, and he seemed to have some sort of problem with that, he was asking what it means and all sorts of questions about it and after a while just stopped talking and stared at me for what mustve been 5 full minuted.

The second time i was on the second CA computer again in 212 and he was sitting next to me, he said "excuse me" so I leaned over to his screen and he recalled as if I was attacking him, he rolled his chair into the center aisle and just sat there for a minute or two just staring at me.
I asked "whats the problem? and he said "back up please!" and never got to what he wanted help with on the computer, he just gave me shooing hand motions until I backed away and continued working on his computer.

i would like to add this student is presumably a gay male. i have no problem with gays and a number of my close friends are both gay male and females, i have no prejudice or sexist ideals. but it seems from that first encounter when i said that i have a girlfriend, hes had a problem with me.

Dude, campus security or something. Seriously. Or at least keep your distance from that guy.

I wouldn't play around after some of these school shootings.

Took the kids to the zoo, got back and hooked up the burley to my ss and took my daughter out for a 4mi ride and dropped her back off at home. Decided to go climb the steepest hill around here and boy was that fun with my new 65 gear inch. If any of you twin cities riders is wondering which hill I'm talking about then it's on county road B by the cub foods in Maplewood/Little Canada next to highway 36.

Bikes: See my sig...

Today I took my daughters to the flea market and picked up a new wool military sweater and was really happy to find that the knife guy had some Jonsson Mora knives for sale and with a little haggling picked up two for $30.00 instead of $40.00.

I gave my last Mora to a friend who was short of coin and needed a great knife... the new knives are currently getting a vinegar dip.

Also picked up a new stone and a new pocket steel for touching up the knives I already have and to improve my collection of sharpening tools.

I only miss the first one I got... do not see when I would never have at least one.

Was eyeing up Grohmann knives today... must.. resist.
