What crank is that? I saw one out here and asked about it in the road forum but no one replied.

Something tells me the MTB section at Retrobike.co.uk would be the place to ask about that.

Spider looks close to IRD/Breezer cranks in this slideshow but those had crmo arms and the ones on the Trek look alu.

Don't they have badass local coffee stands? I've never been to CR but all the Caribbean islands I've been to have strong shots for sale all over.

calv 11-04-12 02:13 PM

Dude, watch out, man. Pirate taxis sound dangerous!

Mumonkan 11-04-12 02:16 PM

Today i learned the fun way that thanks to a hurricane my route to school/job 2 is now a cx race

You'd think so, right? They're one of the world's major coffee producers but espresso stands hardly exist here. People just drink hot drip coffee they make at home and not much else.

Dangerous but cheap! They're basically independent drivers that go around in their personal cars and will take you somewhere for a prenegotiated price.

hwdxbassist 11-04-12 02:25 PM

I did some CX riding around the East Bay Hills.

EpicSchwinn 11-04-12 05:06 PM

Bahahaha, I could see that one coming lol!

To my defense we also visited a fair trade organic shade grown independent coffee co-op in nicaragua...
Also noticed my host family drinks maxwell house and tullys lol.

seau grateau 11-04-12 05:43 PM

Haha, nice. Today I decided not to buy a $300 Livery frame even though I really ****ing want that ****.

seau grateau 11-04-12 06:40 PM

Also learned how to play Elliott Smith's "No Name #1" and now my fingers hurt.

Nagrom_ 11-04-12 08:30 PM

RGNY 11-04-12 09:26 PM

overdressed on my morning commute. wife and i made chocolate chip cookies and watched a couple teen films.

i was offered a tryout for Team USA in the Battle of Nations (medieval armoured combat w/ rebated steel weapons). fairly confident i could make it, but declined based on not having time/money to run around Europe right now. i've fought with three of the current members....good times, good times....

Do you participate in SCA events?

Nagrom_ 11-04-12 09:33 PM

How does the person know when to stay down?

RGNY 11-04-12 09:42 PM

yes, SCA since '92.

for the Battle of Nations you are considered 'downed' when three limbs touch the ground.
