That's insane. Dodici built my Gara using custom geo and even though they state an 8 week waiting period on their site, it arrived here in 5 weeks.

well like everything else i know in this world, i learned this one the hard way. stranded |
+1 on carrying tools. Several times I have had to SS people's geared bikes mid-ride or help with loose bolts and out of true wheels. Tools dont even get in the way.
|
Today, its 50 degrees out, and me and a bunch of other guys in the trumpet section are wearing daisy duke-esque jorts to marching band. Gonna be so rad.

I was really eyeballing a Gara too |
Today I bought a Windows 8 Pro upgrade. At $40 why not?
They make it sooo hard to buy anything online when you're outside the states. Couldn't get anywhere until I got behind a VPN and even then both paypal and Microsoft wanted to to a mobile phone confirmation call which wouldn't work with an 8 digit phone number. ... And they wonder why people overseas pirate so many products. I probably could've torrented the whole thing in the time it took me to checkout. |

I'm still probably going to ride to work here in jn unless its a state of emergency and my work closes (crosses fingers)

i would not want a frame built with this attitude. would you love the bike knowing he was so ambivalent about it and your obvious passion about it?
with custom, you are paying and waiting for the skill of the builder to tailor a bike to you. he dosnt sound like he's into doing that. take him up on the refund and getvsomething you can enjoy and have a good experience with. lifes too short. bikes should be fun not stressful.

I think just parting amicably would be good, if you were okay with that.
If you aren't, then I'll proceed with the build. Thanks Adam Kasey His response was You're right. In the past when we've fielded this many questions before a build it has ended with a unhappy client. So,with this in mind I'm beginning to question this entire frame build. Give me the weekend to think this over. If we decide not to move forward I will return your deposit in it's entirety. |
I asked him to refund and for us to split and he said he ordered the tubes. I sent a follow up today saying that if the tubes weren't cut he should just use them on someone elses HSP. I'm sure it's a good frame, but I was very passionate about the build, and when he showed he didn't share that passion, it tuned me out
