It's also to figure out whether you're capable of following instruction.

so... meh. I have to do hw now.
While driving to my night class, I got semi-cut off by some jackass driver who thought it was necessary to reach 50mph on a 35mph lane with a woman and child in the car. He was swerving between me and a tow truck like the hounds of hell were after him, just to make a left turn signal that he would have easily made if he had just stayed behind me. Of course, that 2 second difference was reason enough to jeopardize three cars and their passengers, and what a great example to set for the kid. I hate driving. I've really come to look forward to the days when I bike to work. Really addictive. |

Today I:
Yesterday I bought a 600 Ultegra RD at the co-op but it was missing the second cage plate. Today I found the matching plate while digging through one of the unorganized bins of crap. Score!
To keep to SSFG, I have been zipping around lately since getting my Fuji to 12speed, so today I decided to see how well I could keep up with some of the many FG riders I regularly see on my commute route. Lots I wizzed by while others wouldn't stand being passed by some dude with fat tires and a pannier :) it was also windy as **** today, feels like Fall! |
seems like my sram apex calipers aren't long enough on my big block to work ;_; wants to hit right on the tire no matter how I adjust it. I swear I saw a set on the old models. The front isn't even close though
glad I tried to install them today instead of the day before I needed them. edit: seems like the big block completes come with long reach calipers, guess I'm not ******** |
After fighting the urge to buy either a Cinella Mash frameset or a Look frameset, I decided it was best for me to get a road bike for longer rides. I was going to test ride a Specialized Allez Compact at another local shop after stopping at my LBS to replace a dropout chain tensioner that fell off my bike, but all that changed when I started looking at the Bianchi road bikes at my LBS. I fell in love with one, aand... let's just say I had to add another one to my signature. :p

and on the trainer my computer said I went 53mph. I call b.s. |
After work tonight, I am riding to Dirty Franks Hot Dog Palace. SO GOOD

Today after waiting 7 months for my turn in line, I asked Stanridge for my money back. If he declines, then I'll proceed with the build. I'll share the story once everything is square

however i do see this project fixie thing that slipped through at home and doesnt want to go away |
and, decided i'll wear my PI Attack shorts proudly tomorrow, with no outer covering. screw you dysmorphia. :)
found out i have to drive to work on Monday because of training in another town for part of the day. 4th time since March. blows. |
Worked. Had a paid meeting after work and a short unpaid meeting with the big boss afterwards. Having a cool boss makes all the difference in the world, I'd take a bullet for mine.
Then I biked home and spun the ef out on some downward slopes. People probably thought "Damn, he's going fast" just based on looking at my legs spinning. I feel like I'm "coasting" on a fixed gear sometimes, when it's slightly downhill the damn things practically ride themselves. I just threw all of my cycling clothes in some water/baking soda/vinegar. My shorts and knickers smell pretty funky after rides. Time to work at home now. |
Today I toyed around on the dmr.
|
Today I went out with the intention of doing a century and got a flat 81.5 miles in. The sun had set and I wasn't prepared for night riding so I had to called the sqrl for a ride.
