Well then, I'll be happy to be slow. She said it like I wanted to turn my bike into a sw8 fixxay. Either that, or she's not super good at the sarcasm thing, and they just don't sell enough of those chains haha

But don't you love paint specs riddled throughout your drive train?

Ha. I'd rather not. I just don't get why some people even use those painted chains.

Better for skidz. Today I ride biek no matter what. So hard to get outside when working from home.

CJWIZVRDGVNG 09-27-12 12:10 PM

'bout to have an American Studies midterm.... pretty sure I'm not going to do well.

I wish history came as intuitively for me as math and physics...

Mumonkan 09-27-12 01:00 PM

Its not your fault, american history blows.

I should be writing a response paper to some boring sociology reading but instead im obviously reading BF
(paper is due in 3 hrs)

seau grateau 09-27-12 01:12 PM

Just write a long essay about the Native American genocide of imperialist fascists expanding their reach under the guise of democracy. Instant A or instant F, it's kind of a crapshoot depending on the prof.

Is this the Cal American Studies requirement still? When I had that class it was co-taught by two people who appeared to be alcoholics suffering from the shakes the entire time. It was my worst class as an undergrad by far and I like history.

I was given an old gum wall Specialized Team Turbo. It's nice and unused, the sidewalls were pretty dry so I went and applied a layer to rubber cement. Hopefully this gives the tire some life.

Essay happens next, just finished the short answer part. Went way better than expected, pretty sure I'm passing.

Yeah, well I had time to study and decided it was hopeless. It's just memorization.

Yup, mine is taught by a gay athiest jew, a man with no neck (literally, had it removed), and a guy with a squeally voice who is strung out on god knows what. No offense to any of them, they're actually pretty cool(particularly no-neck).

Essay portion starts at 1:30.

Aced a psych testing exam and learned to skid for the first time

+10 to hipster street cred, breh.

*edit*- and I didn't eat ****, thankfully.

cali_axela 09-27-12 03:20 PM

Drove to work instead of biked, for the first time in months. My patience for finding a parking spot is apparently down to about 7 milliseconds now... totally raged after circling for about 10 minutes looking for one. So glad I don't have to drive often, biking to work is so much better in every aspect.

Mumonkan 09-27-12 03:21 PM

finished that debacle of a paper and found this:

brought my smiles back.

Just wrote my essay. Shat on it. Passing that class after all.

seau grateau 09-27-12 03:57 PM

Hauled ass for 20 miles and found $21 halfway through my last hill climb. I sacrificed some Strava stats stopping to pick it up.

Nagrom_ 09-27-12 03:58 PM

****ing worth every second. that's awesome.

calv 09-27-12 04:05 PM

Biking to school in the morning is hilarious with all the new freshman at UC Davis (so what if I'm in high school - I'll still make fun of them).

It's like they came together and tried to come up with how to be obnoxious on a bike, then, instead of trying to not do those things, they do as many as possible.

thewilson 09-27-12 06:22 PM

Today I ended up doing a relaxed 67 miles. I love days off.

Dude, I was crossing Russel from Sycamore, and I swear when that bike stoplight flashed green, it was like I was in some foreign country. Bikes going in every directionssssssssssssssss.

absolutely gorgeous day. leaves are starting to change and soon the trail that makes up most of my commute will be a red/orange tunnel. have to pack up and drive 5hrs for a fencing tournament on Saturday. right now i'd rather stay home and ride, but i'm sure the game face will come once i get there.

heard about "Lil'Wayne" beating Elvis' record, for most songs to make the top 100, on NPR. never heard of him. Googled. meh.

Dannihilator 09-27-12 08:41 PM

Today I issued a beat down on the rain for the 2nd straight day.
