Nagrom_ 08-28-12 08:02 PM

Doesn't feel like school for me either.

Got my carbon cages in the mail when I got home. They're hot. Those Chinese are good with carbon.

Sqrl's bike gets delivered tomorrow.

My wheelset is en route to the USofA.
Groupset hasn't shipped, but its from Alabama, so I'm not worried.
Frame still needs to be made..... October.

I'm a master of time management, which leaves a lot of time for ****** (haha).

wife had a job offer that i told her to turn down. crap money, two days a week on day shift, two on evenings and -every- Saturday. f-that-noise.

she wants to "do her part", but i'll get a second job, set the heat at 55F and read by candlelight before it comes to that....

ordered snow and touring tires, as well as bar mitts, for the Nature Boy.

had a great time at fencing practice. the Nature Boy is a plush ride and the stock 42:16 drivetrain is a little spinny for me on flats, but makes short work of the moderate hills i encounter on a daily basis.

I was about to say that would be a lot of money for A/C, but I forgot not everybody lives in the Bay Area...

Dannihilator 08-28-12 08:46 PM

Today I did not do anything.

Mumonkan 08-28-12 09:01 PM

today i just had the weirdest hour long argument with my father that somehow ended up him telling sentimental stories from his childhood and him crying.

i need to get a full time job so ****in bad. need my own place again

I saw that ad a couple days ago as well and recognized your bike. Big ups to Soma for the deal!

^^^THIS.

They just got back to me about specifics. Let's just say the folks at Soma Fabrications take extremely good care of their customers

It's customer care like this that makes it clear how nice it can be to work with a company that only makes 200-300 of each frame per year.

Now I just have a choice to make... Khaki Green again or Pearl White....

ddeadserious 08-28-12 09:12 PM

Today I applied for a job I'd seriously like to get, and I got the ball rolling on going back to school to get a second degree in graphic design.

heh. yeah. we usually have about two weeks in January where it doesn't get above zero during the day. locals still talk about the "Halloween Ice Storm" and the "Mother's Day Snow Storm".

Today, I finally got my stem "bored out" enough to fit my new Velo Orange Rando bars. I reinstalled the brake, wrapped the bars, and took the bike for a quick spin. I'm really liking the extra reach (about 20mm) and ramp length. :thumb:

Linoleum supports my head. Gives me something to believe. My closest friend linoleum.

jimmytango 08-28-12 11:01 PM

I had a great morning driving to hang out with a sqrl and we walked on the beach and stuff, then I took delivery of a bike and rode it 20 or 30 miles then I got my nature boy out and did a little preseason cross with it and feel like I held my own. Knees on fire but that's probably the track racing last night cx racing tonight catching up with my bad nutrition. Greatest day in a while.
