Today I became the proud unexpected owner of a betta fish shipped all the way from Thailand that was mistakenly delivered to my house by USPS due to a near illegible writing on the shipping slip. First shipping error in my favor ever, it's gorgeous!

Dannihilator 08-29-12 07:17 PM

Today I had a bunch of doctor's appointments.

Why, it's the official cocktail of summer 2012!

I haven't had a drink in forever. But I'm too lazy to go to $2 beer place and too poor to go to $4 beer place.

Maybe Friday nite party time.

I found a trio of Blue Moon glasses at the Goodwill store in addition to some other nice glass/cookware. I don't even like Blue Moon very much but I needed some good glasses. I broke one of them while washing. Ffffff

My prescription hasn't really changed in 8 years or so, so I can't complain too much. I spend 12+ hours a day inches from a computer screen, so I'm surprised it isn't worse.

Scrodzilla 08-29-12 08:42 PM

Today I weighed myself and I'm down to 184 lbs.

No real goal, I just knew I wanted to lose some weight. I'm down from about 210.

Mumonkan 08-29-12 09:17 PM

its a good feeling regardless, especially when you have to start buying new clothes cuz you start looking like nelson from the simpsons with his extension cord belt

Today I did a lazy man's triathlon. 14 laps in the pool, 5K walk, 40K bike ride.

Volunteered at the local co-op for the first time, realized how little I know about bike mechanics.

NICE! Congrats man. I'm down to 212 from 228. Still have a ways to go, but I'm getting there.

Just saw premium Rush. Not terrible.

today i also decided that once the weather cools down a bit in september here in vegas im gonna sell my car and commute full time on my bike. i need to get more use to commuting on a bike before making my move to LA in november.

Quite the accomplishment, congrats. Good luck with the bike commuting. Vegas in the fall/winter sounds like the ideal place to do it.

Just got back from the sqrl's house.

Her bike got delivered, so I built it.

Gorgeous bike.

I went from like 180ish to about 165 ish over the summer because of drum corps. Im really tan also. Its awesome

RGNY 08-30-12 05:48 AM

discovered that the ENO freewheel sounds like a cross between a cicada and and angry rattlesnake.

awesome on everyone for the weight loss work. i was a morbidly obese pre-teen and had a relapse in my early 30's (now 42). one of the single best things you can do for yourself. thanks to cycling/fencing/boxing and eating clean, i'm in the best shape of my life. i hadn't seen my abs since i was 17. :)

i get sad about my friends / coworkers that are struggling with weight. all the complications are piling up and they just keep spending 10+ hrs/day playing Warcraft. even when one of our circle died from a clot due to being seated 12-18hrs/day. i just try to encourage them to go outside and do something. had some success.

How tall are you? I'm at about 180 right now too. I got some weight to lose.

Hell, when I was a senior in highschool, I weighed 150 for most of the year because I was playing soccer, had marching band, and a gym class where literally all I did was run. Not drinking soda really helped with that. Would probably help now too...

Its amazing what literally living in the seat of a bus will do for you, right?

I don't have much weight to lose (5'9"/150lbs), but I am trying to eat a bit healthier. Oatmeal (blegh) for breakfast and salads (nomz) for lunch, laying off red meats for the most part.

But last night I ate 30 wings for dinner... so...

Jared. 08-30-12 08:13 AM

I cut out juices/soda, most red meat, pasta, eating out, I'm doing oatmeal for breakfast, yogurt/granola/bananas for lunch, hitting the gym and biking more.

I lost 3lbs over the last 3 months...

I don't mind though because I feel so much better.
