i would love me an orca or a dogma.
a lobular road would be more than enough. gotta keep looking for one in my size, though. |

You bet. The plan is to swap over the group and parts from my current orbea orca through.
I still have to go over it with my wife of when I can get it; considering we just bought her a pista via condotti ($875 out the door w/ lifetime service; not to mention the upgrades I bought for it already)and the fact that just the frameset alone runs up the cost of about 7 via condotti's. Probably the hardest part for me in my opinion is choosing which colorway to buy. Poo. :bang: |

Click on the large picture at the top and scroll. Lusting the black/ black but it might look too similar to the knock off chinese eebay carbon frames with the squiggly fork and stays. |
I agree, the all black looks like the eBay knock offs. I like the white/black/gray personally.

Today I called 3 LBS's asking for a 26.0-31.8 handlebar shim and none of them had it. I've lost what little faith I had in LBS's. :(

Anyway I might have to go to abaxo for a black one because problem solvers only sells a raw one and I'm pretty sure a layer of spray paint would jeopardize the fit. |
Yea, this was supposed to be for my 002's, too.
I don't think a layer of spraypaint would affect the fit that much. Manufacturing tolerances probably aren't that tight. |

Yea, I did that too and still don't think differently.
Oh yea, and one guy on the phone told me it was a bad idea to shim 26.0 to 31.8. Herp/derp. So glad I called before I biked over in this heat. |
today I got my wheelset in, but without the FSAxle axle :( but I did get two lockrings sent with it, yay. was only expecting the one. Also see it's suggested I don't use Surly or Euro-Asia cogs - glad I read that looking for an axle before installing one.
The h+son rims I got also do not fit veloplugs unfortunately :/ |

Decided to give Endomondo a try as mapmyride annoys me. Really nice based on first impressions. Also ordered a Blaq mini you pouch.

Having a Phil hub and cheaping out on a cog doesn't make much sense.
|
yeah I'm gonna pick up a used PW cog here from craigslist, but all I have around the apt is all city and surly cogs and wanted to get my chain on because I wuz exxxxcited :o
|
all city makes nice stuff, and their cogs look pretty solid. i dont see why not on that one.
|
it's also 19t. I want to run 17t, but yeah I'll keep it on for flip/flop
|
All-city cogs are actually pretty nice. Angie's had one for quite a while now and it's always been really quiet and smooth.

Avoid surly cogs at all costs. Overpriced and loud. |
heh I have a surly right now on the soma. I don't even notice it anymore. It's just incredibly loud initially I think. I also think it was less than $20
