Dude, I get major moose knuckle. Ain't no problem.

Today I tracked with Jay and Muff, made a handful of friends. Going back Monday for the Intro to Racing session, then maybe on Wednesday for my first race night.

The younger of the day's two supervisors took pictures of my wheels. I got a kick out of that.

Today I almost had a heat stroke while riding, gotta remember to bring more water next time.

I love olde Rock Hoppers. Usually not enough to have shipped across the USA, however.

I've really been having fun riding this little 13" one around the neighborhood:

bro 04-13-13 06:44 PM

learned how to track stand today, still not super good at it. i think its like my 4th day riding fixed gear or something? always was just SS before.

Adjusting gears on the gf's road bike upside down in the grass less than a mile into a ride.

Wheel turning fast, I grab the seat tube to turn the bike back over and the tire pulls my 19mm wide finger into the 7mm space between the tire and the seat tube and it sticks there.

Trying to turn the wheel and my finger is rotating to the even thicker part instead of sliding. Undo the QR. Nope. Biker rides by, asks if everything is ok. I smile and wave with my free hand. Thanks we're fine, I lie. Too stubborn to deflate the tire and spend the next ten minutes with the mini pump trying to get back to 100psi so I clench my teeth and yank the wheel half expecting my finger to rip off.

It's still there and its dented but I was able to finish the ride so I guess it was just another hard earned lesson. Good times. Im such a dumbazz.

seau grateau 04-13-13 07:53 PM

Today I smoked my last cigarette.

Just stick to it man. Its hard at first, but its for the betterment of you and your lungs. Just keep that part in mind.

seau grateau 04-13-13 08:03 PM

Yeah it won't be the first time. A conversation with an old timer who bought a cigarette from me yesterday solidified the decision.

Street rider 04-13-13 08:03 PM

Today I swapped my tires around, front to back, back to front. Rear tire was getting a little bit more worn than the front, so I figured I would just extend their life by a bunch. And now I'm finally getting around to installing my brand new cleats on my road shoes, so no more janky, worn down Nagrom cleats (still super thankful you shipped those along with the pedals dood).

Today I feel like absolute ****. I haven't had an appetite for 5 days now, get fatigued super easy, and I'm super irritable. Probably gonna go see a doctor soon.

hairnet 04-13-13 08:47 PM

Today I found a really nice knee brace in my apartment that I didn't even know I had.

I had Mono a few summers ago, this is like exactly how I felt. For months.

That's what did it for me...I went to have a smoke with an older lady that works in HR at my office...she smokes like a chimney, I only had a couple a day, but still...she's been coughing and hacking for the past year - says she has a cold that won't go away. I don't think so. She also sounds 70 year old man. Between that and coughing up blood at the end of the year, I just said f'it, I want to be healthier.

You can do it!!!

Huffandstuff 04-13-13 09:36 PM

Paid my taxes today and fixed the play in my Omniums then put the bike back into rideable condition, forgot how ****ty it is to have a thick frame + b43's on a windy day though.

Well ****.

Dannihilator 04-13-13 11:10 PM

Today(well yesterday technically) I lost my mind and attacked every single climb and descent and ended up with 54 miles with a max speed of 40mph.

iTripped 04-13-13 11:30 PM

My top speed today was 46.4 kph. I don't feel like converting to miles because that is just depressing.

Mumonkan 04-14-13 04:48 AM

Could be something else, though. Just make sure that your doctor draws blood to test, and that they run them all. My doctors were idiots and I had to go back multiple times so they had enough blood.
