Today I rode a pretty decent 14 mile loop with a new riding buddy I met yesterday. Stoked on this weather, not stoked its quickly going away again.

Today I spent my day in my shop... am heading south in a week and have a ton of stuff I needed to get done.
Installed some new v-brake bosses on a frame as well as the new guides... http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikesales/brakejig1.JPG Mocked up a bag support for a Carradice... http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikes...tand%20(1).JPG http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/bikes...tand%20(3).JPG Took myself out for dinner, decided to gamble a little with the V.L.T. and made $130.00. It was a very good day. |
Quitting smoking right before tax day was a bad idea.
|
Today (well, earlier in the night) I started off my taxes thinking I was a ******, then I realized otherwise... :(
|
Freelance work is cool because you don't have a boss. Then you have to pay taxes and it's not that cool anymore
|
Do you have an S Corp set up? I hear there are all kinds of cool things you can do with those.

I ended up not going for a ride. The problem was that the doc said I could still play sports and stuff I just needed to be careful with it.

You sure it was your quads that are too short? (I guess it would be hard to straighten your legs completely.) Tight hamstrings aren't uncommon, and one of my knees doesn't track properly if I don't stretch out my legs enough. Also, girls.
I know it means girls haha but where does it come from? |

I still can't believe what happened in Boston. I knew a few people who tried to qualify for the marathon, and some that did but decided it was too expensive to travel there. Makes it so real. And Scrod, its great to hear that Angie's ok.
Today I was able to fight my way through the wind to get in a quick 25 miles. Started sprinkling as soon as I unclipped in front of my door. Also KOM'd a really short segment (actually re-KOM'd, because I had it before, too. Just a bit faster this time around). |
What happened in Boston is sickening, prayers and thoughts to the victims and the families and friends of those who died.
Today I got a lot accomplished, cut down the last of the downed trees from Sandy, got in 32 miles and cut out a new bed for my mother's rose garden. |
Scrod, glad you and Angie are ok.
|
Thanks guys. I literally had a freakout when I saw the first reports of it because I knew she would be down there today. About ten minutes later, she sent me a text that said "I'm alright. Across the street. Talk later. <3" and my heart started beating again.
She saw an awful lot of ****ed up **** today. |
Glad Angie's ok.
|
Glad to hear the lady's OK, scrod!
