Today I set up two meet ups to sell tires and wheels on Craigslist. The first guy arrived on time and the deal went smoothly. The second dude got really pissy when I kindly told him to hurry because I had to meet up with friends later and decided he didn't want the wheels. I really ****ing hate flakers. I forgot my gloves and my hands were freezing for 30 mins which makes me even angrier knowing I did it for no reason.

Dannihilator 03-05-13 07:54 PM

Say, does anyone have $25,000 they can spare?

I wanna ride up in Seattle.

I made the drive up there last year. The drive sucked.

TheRealFaux 03-05-13 09:50 PM

I'm planning on riding with Rich and some friends to Seattle this summer.

Jaytron 03-05-13 10:18 PM

Today I'm trolling everyone on FB who only got to see the Dolan's box.

I'll fit in just fine.

AristoNYC 03-05-13 11:58 PM

needed a new beater bike & didnt feel comfortable locking up my leader or dolan (I am paranoid). So I ordered a SE Premium Brew 61cm & plan on stripping and clear coating the frame - as seen here - any tips on stripping it and clearing it? This video gives me a good idea - http://youtu.be/8fIR5irOLd4

why it picked it over a kilo - I want front & rear brakes, the pedals looks better, the only thing I think I will have to upgrade is the saddle. I'm ok with the wheels being heavy as it will be a pothole friendly ride.

Mumonkan 03-06-13 12:03 AM

aircraft stripper is the way to go (so ive heard)

havent been able to find it in home depot or lowes though

jimmytango 03-06-13 12:05 AM

Today someone that I really didn't wanna see came into the tiny-ass shop. Awkward, to say the least. To make myself feel better I built up a 61cm 2013 CAADX with Ultegra and discs and rode it in the parking garage for a minute. I am in love. Riding home in the snowstorm tonight, I wished for the first time since I've had them that I wasn't on 23c Gator Hardshells. Didn't go down, but I was wishing for more traction.

Caad <3

Today I did like 20 minutes of intervals at the polo fields with a friend, then an ominous rain cloud rolled over the track so we cut the session short and raced away from it heading home... just barely got sprinkled on. Then on Strava when I got home, saw that Chris Phipps was there an hour before us doing intervals. Glad I wasn't there an hour earlier. His recovery laps are about on par with my pain laps... very humbling.

Today some scumbags stole my rear wheel and seat/seatpost while I was having a good time playing trivia at a local bar. First time I ever got my **** jacked. feelsbadman.jpeg Luckily my favorite bartender offered me a ride home after closing.

Yeah, I work at a Cannondale shop. I want that CAADX sooooo bad. I drool over SuperSix Evo's and SuperX's all day. The owner has 2-3 SuperX's and at least two SuperSix Evo's, all with 2012 SRAM Red. So jealous.

We just started carrying All-City, too. Very impressed.

Sucks dude. Sorry to hear it.

seau grateau 03-06-13 03:32 AM

I'm gonna be combing Craigslist and eBay into the near future to try to catch these ********. If anyone in the LA area sees a Kilo TT Pro rear wheel (generic, I know) outfitted with Gatorskin, a Fizik Arione Tri2 or a Deda RS01 post up for sale, feel free to PM me so I can break some skulls.

Leukybear 03-06-13 03:33 AM

That sucks seau. =/
Was it your leader?

seau grateau 03-06-13 03:35 AM

Yeah, it was my Leader. The silver lining is I have my other bikes being shipped to me via FedEx this week. Don't have a spare track rear right now though.

FakeFuji 03-06-13 05:09 AM

I have a stock kilo wheel I could give you

That sucks, I'm sorry to hear SG. Did you just have the frame locked up or something?

cheffixie 03-06-13 06:35 AM

Today I decided its time to start building my first fixie... I have the bike in my garage. Im stripping it to the frame, painting it and replacing every part on it. Let the fun/drinking begin.

He came out to a WPH one time. Know what it feels like to have your legs ripped off? I do now.

Last night i forgot to turn on "Do Not Disturb" on my phone so today i got woken up by this:

http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=302811

Here's the thing about getting older: I actually forgot i had a birthday coming up until last week.
Yay mid-to-late thirties.

apaulson714 03-06-13 11:22 AM

Just found out the stem i ordered is now on backorder, and its the last piece i need to complete my bike :( However this was offset by the fact I just snagged some Shimano shoes for my clipless on ebay for .99 (i was the only bidder) plus $10 shipping. Pretty happy about that one.

you should maybe consider doing it the other way around in the summer

AristoNYC 03-06-13 01:24 PM

Ordered a SE Premium Brew (plan on stripping & clear coating it)

Any reason to think 28c tires wouldn't fit on there?

jimmytango 03-06-13 02:43 PM

They should be fine IIRC.

Thanks, I'll order them, I'm sure they'll fit on at least one of my bikes.

RGNY 03-06-13 05:21 PM

snow finally receded on the backroad / county route, got to commute today. getting tired of driving.

since the Nature Boy is my primary ride now, last year's Ridley Crossbow singlespeed project will be this spring's 1x9 (44:11-25) project.

FakeFuji 03-06-13 07:21 PM

Today I picked up gr9s with soma clips and Christophe straps for 30 buck
