holy crap...i totally forgot about the bird i hit last week! I was riding down a side street at about 6:30am when two birds came flying across the street really low to the ground. One of them flew directly into my aerospoke and got dragged through my fork a couple of times before falling out. I stopped to check it out and the bird was mangled.

Received my package from Retro & ended up having to reverse rotafix my old cog off. It's too damn hot out to try out this ratio so it will have to wait until tomorrow. Also, my hip bag from blaq apparently shipped today.

Painfully average.

Got my package from Dave also. Risers look a bit different/nicer than I thought they would be.

Today for some reason I had a great craving for some pistachios when I got home from work. So without thinking after taking off my shoes, I put on a kit and took my wife's chrome ivan and made a mad dash to whole foods on my roadie. I bet you've never seen a entirely carbon orbea orca locked up to railing with a mini krypto (before the naysayers raise an up roar, you're talking about la jolla). I kept my helmet on the entire time in the store, walking in sidis; had some woman say not to forget the milk. I ended up completely filling up the bag, the first time the weight shifted caught me completely off guard but luckily commuting experience kicked in. Making dinner now of cordon bleu chicken, scallops, asparagus, topped off with velvet cake.

today one the way home from work(just now) i got hit by a cab on canal street. The driver decided he didn't want to wait in the turning lane and cut into the oncoming lane, where i was the only traffic, to try to make a left turn, he stopped to argue with me and then sped off. i hate *******s who make me feel like my life isn't worth the 30 seconds it would have taken him to properly wait for the light.

Today I saw this beauty while walking the dog... I also picked up another Cassette for a great price off Craigslist.
Photo doesn't do it justice, and that blue is stunning in person.

Today was my second night racing at the track. It was rough. I forgot to switch from my warm up and got my heart rate up too high. Was pretty dehydrated too. Ended up taking the last race off since I was feeling pretty dizzy.

BLUE cycles are so over!
shell art is over.
i chilled for a minute with jdgesus and saw his steamrolled surly. jeeeeeeez.
then i worked on a sweet kid's bike at a co-op npo volunteer night. it was cool. they were surprised i knew how to repack a one piece crank. the thing is, it was in great shape once you got all the nasty out of it. smooth.
then i put some tape on the fuji.

I picked up a friends bike that was damaged in the K-town massacre (#rememberktown!) strapped it to my Wig bag and rode over to the Bike Oven which is all up hill. My feet are killing me, hate the sylvans. But we had a $300 account and I just put in the order for a new fork, new front wheel and a 19t cog which puts her in at 59GI which is perfect considering she has 2 broken legs, a ripped ACL and hasn't walked in 2 months.

OMG I love these!
Cow tongues are actually quite delicious as nasty as it sounds. Have you ever prepared a cow tongue before? Very dirty job... scraping away the gunk built up on a cow's tongue.

I paid the remaining balance to get my frame back from Dennis' powdercoat studio. I can't wait to put it together! It's a Toyo Godzilla, originally blue but now powdered "granny smith sparkle green." Should be here next Tuesday hopefully. I'm stoked to retire my Lager for a bit, until I equip it with a tiny bmx crankset for polo and fun. Now I need to ditch these B43's for something lighter.. Probably gonna go with Mavic Open Pros. This will be my first wheel build, with PW hubs.

got one of my new cogs in, but was too tired to put it on. passed out and woke up to my knog frontlight having come in to and just sat on my porch overnight. Took it out of the package and bam, doesn't turn on :/ Finally replaced the fan clutch on my truck after having the bolt stuck for the last week. thing had probably two cans of liquid wrench sprayed on it. now I'm up and scrambling to finish my work because it's 'end of the month' type stuff and I want to be able to hit up CM tonight
