The only thing I hate about it is some things like salad dressing or condiments don't need to be tossed every couple weeks but even that will get thrown out; so you can't just buy a bottle and leave it here.

that's a lame system

unless they were communal there is no way I would go through a bottle of like ketchup, mustard, dressings, sauces ect in 2 weeks of lunch.

Yeah, you're expected to bring it home and then bring it back, I guess.

I had a pretty interesting run-in with a driver today on my ride. As I was climbing a hill, this guy was hauling ass in his giant pickup coming up from behind me. This hill is sorta steep towards the top, and impossible to see over. So when he started passing me, going up it, I yelled at him. He pulled over to the side of the road, and as I was coming alongside his truck, he jumped out of the drivers seat, yelling about "you wanna call me an *******? Get off the bike mother****er I'll show whats up. C'mon ***** I'll beat your ass mother****er". I, calmly as I could, told him that he broke the law by doing what he did, and kept riding. When he passed me just down the other side of the hill, he didn't even bother me, and gave me the entire lane when he passed, legally this time.

Dude was also in his late 40's/early 50's. Thats what made this whole thing so funny/scary to me.

Then I scrolled down and saw that Soma is only producing ~100 framesets. So much the sad.

I did too till i saw that the frame was 2 grand.

Racing is just a good a workout as the climbs you're doing.

Huffandstuff 04-26-13 04:38 PM

It really isn't. (well, for now)

I need to work on stamina. 3 min, high intensity races aren't going to do that for me.

Hight Intensity Intervals are a great aerobic workout... I'm not sure if you're trolling me or not.

Today I went to a job fair with a bunch of other interns from my school then the program director took us out for a bbq lunch. After that I headed out to work. Awesome day.

Hahaha, cute kids. I got an al pastor burrito for lunch (good). They gave me salsa and lemon with it (nice), and also salt and radishes (wat).

Today I went to IMinusD to buy a new chain and a 19T cog. Saw a few of people riding fixies that just made my heart cringe, haha. I went back to my 46t chainring. Drivetrain is much quieter now that I'm running an all 1/8 drivetrain again, and I'm no longer running a tiny chainring. Feels good, man.

Finally got a couple guys up for an early morning ride, did 26 miles (I think one was a diamond back podium, trek 1.1, langster w/ SS IGH, and then my FG). Guy on the DB was fast, it was fun trying to keep up. We switched bikes for a few miles too, nice change of pace, and my pedal stroke sucks. Good start to a Saturday, now only if I had time to squeeze in a nap

Rear cog came loose again... Might be time to get my own chain whip/lock ring wrench. Ugh

SpeshulEd 04-26-13 07:50 PM

New kicks came today (and they fit!!!) Will be getting up early tomorrow to try 'em out, along with my new Garmin 510.

Today I really don't understand craigslist. My single ad gets flagged and deleted for unknown reasons, yet I constantly see the same Trek MTB listed 5 separate times.

Dannihilator 04-26-13 08:02 PM

I am jealous...

Today I had a good road ride, but man did I lock the rear wheel up today and I am not happy about it. Why do some people think it is perfectly ok to weave all over the road, nearly got taken out by the fred. :notamused: Person was going opposite direction.

There was a guy riding on the wrong side on my way home from work the other day, I gave him a good 6' of space and he just looked at me like I was crazy. Of course, I looked at him like he was crazy too.

I also dislike the people that jog in the bike lane. I want to yell, "use the sidewalk, it's there for you!!" at them every time but I just smile and go around.

Today I realized that I love riding my 32x20 ssmtb just about everywhere.

Nice......very nice.

Did you order by US (8.5, 9, 9.5) or Euro (42, 43, 44) sizing???

I've been finding out that I get a more consistant "good" fit if I order by Euro sizes and ignore the US stuff.

SpeshulEd 04-26-13 08:24 PM

Yeah, it was Euro sizing, size 46.

I had found a size 45 from a European website but then found a 46 at Arts Cyclery along with a coupon which got me a pretty decent deal.
