If that's what you're into, go for it.

If you're friend justifies smoking cigarettes by saying "We inhale all kinds of bad stuff when sitting in traffic, so what's wrong with smoking?", he's just an idiot.

Today I flexed my green thumb and pruned/replanted a bunch of houseplants that were long overdue for some attention.

The thing is, he's actually an intelligent guy and does a lot of research for his own benefit/enjoyment. Doesn't drink any public fountain water, only buys organic meat, but when it comes to smoking he's got no chance.

Still, I like that someone tries to avoid something once he/she realizes it's bad, rather than say "well, everything is bad so it doesn't matter".

The problem there is that everything can be seen as "bad" when viewed under the right microscope.

today (yesterday) I dropped $250 on a totally new bedset: matching comforter, pillow cases and bed skirt, pillows, Egyptian cotton sheets. In addition to being a huge comfort upgrade, it just looks nice and makes my bedroom much more pleasant to be in.

TMI: My old set is about 5 years old (into college), mismatching, incorrectly sized and stained from all dem drugs, sex and rock n roll (ewwww)

also i bought a small paperback copy of the book of revelations (bible)

I read a random passage when bored in church on xmas and it struck me. I like anything that's righteous, virtuous and prophetic. Let's get pious *****es.

Revelations is a confusing book to me. There are a lot of interpretations.

Today I raced my first Crit. Front of the pack the whole time, took some good pulls, eased off on the second to last lap to save some energy for the final sprint. Noticed people getting fatigued and sketchy so I made my way to the rear/side of the pack. Sure enough, carnage in the middle - bikes and bodies flying everywhere. I drifted to the left and avoided all of it. Neutralized finish. Got my points and rode away. No one was seriously injured - all of my friends avoided going down. It was a good day.

p.s. **** the 5's.

It's not literal. At all. Plus, for a lot of it, you need to read Ezekiel and Daniel to get the symbolism and references. Avoid KJV, because it's been found to be a very unreliable translation.

On second thought, i'm not gonna get into this.

Today when I was out riding I thought I saw a skull near the edge of the road, just drove back and sure enough... Not sure what it is, yet.

yeah i was worried i would start a prolonged religon convo, just lemme give my perspective

i was born and raised mexican catholic, but in a very big, loving and open-minded family. half of my cousins are gay and/or Buddhist, for example.
personally i feel all religions have value, relevance and substance, and that they're all really just different ways of doing the same thing. spiritually im most aligned with eastern faiths. also i realize that faith and spirituality are not empirical pursuits and its completely a choice to believe in it or not

god is the sum of all energy and mass in the universe

I, personally, was adopted by a Pentecostal pastor who once asked me why I wanted to "live in Chicago with all the **** and gangs." Not very open minded at all. I learned how to play drums and guitar by playing in church. My first girlfriend was my youth pastor's daughter. I went on mission trips throughout Latin and South America. I am married to a Buddhist. I have gay friends and friends who are pastors. I am an atheist.

God was invented by man.
