You never know. Same thing with a chain breaker and 8mm hex bit.

I don't carry a spoke wrench, I do carry a chain breaker. I busted a chain a couple months back, bought a chain breaker (no chains available at the non-bike shop I went to), broke the chain, took out the funky link, put it back together, arrived at work 2 hrs late.

i think there is little reason NOT to carry a spoke wrench and a chain tool in your saddle bag on a training ride

...just like there is little reason not to run a front brake on your fixie

WHOOPS!

Just make sure if you're running a 1/8" chain, the chain tool on your multitool will play nice with it...

Today I went to a talk about coprolites. I sat there for an hour listening to a guy talk about fossilized ****, and how important it is to tracking the movement of people of different racial origins. And went and bought the new earpods for my phone since my right earbud decided to just stop working. My mic/remote still work fine, just the earbud itself. Good thing these new ones have a much nicer design/shape to them.

O_o

Break a rear spoke while on a ride without a spoke wrench?

Miles and miles of *whump...*whump...*whump...*whump... as your badly out of true wheel flops around.

Break a rear spoke with a spoke wrench? Use it to adjust the tension on the surrounding spokes and ride home just like nothing happened.

I've actually used the spoke wrench on the Crankbros M19 to do the above. Had to have the bike upside down in the parking lot of a BrandsMart but it worked. Even had a teammate use it during a race for the same reason. He was on a geared bike and couldn't open the rear caliper enough to keep the rim from rubbing. Two minutes with the spoke wrench and we were back in action.

Why wouldn't you want to carry something so small, useful and lightweight?

I saw that too, I liked it. Would be great if he ended up offering a complete.

today i had my first day of classes this semester, had every intention of dropping all but 1 class just to keep my financial aid but i dont actually hate them

received free clip on mtb fenders from coworker @ school, affixed rear fender to bike and established front just aint gonna work

came home and took my jacket off, one of my new stone plugs came out of my ear and grazed the pedal on a bike in my room, now its chipped and sharp as ****. FFS.

I think it is the whey itself; I drink it with water now because I don't eat dairy very much.

I roll with hemp. It's less protein overall compared to the whey, but it's a helluva lot better for me overall.

The whole protein thing is overblown though, unless you're really trying to put on a lot of mass. I'm not trying to get unnaturally bulky so it works for me.

I prefer whole grain to whole protein. I have no real dietary secrets, I just listen to what my body needs.
