today i got 2 pairs of smartwool medium thick hiking socks and a pair of ultralight socks, a leatherman squirt ps4 and a victorinox cadet with alox scales for $2.21

then i had a kickass family dinner at the gfs house:

manicotti, chicken parmesan, riceballs, broccoli/cauliflower casserole, hot chocolate marshmallow cupcakes and blueberry pie

was a good day.

Just got home from the bar and then the club. Wings won, had fun with friends, danced with a few girls. Successful Friday night.

After a couple weeks of nasty weather it was like being in an alternate universe. No hat no gloves no jacket. All the roadies were waving. A lovely lady even texted me midride to let me know she had a meatball sub for me when I got back.

Nice.

I've been rotating through 4-5 pairs of pants for the last two weeks because I know if I wash them it's going to be way obvious that I've been eating too much cake and cookies at work. Office job = get as fat as possible as fast as possible.

Today I rode a metric for the challenge, now I'm laying around watching Hulu and later I'm going to take a nap.

Today I almost wiped out real hard on the CAAD. I was doing some climbing and was on a fast descent, I don't have a comp on the caad yet but it was faster than 35 cause I was the testing the high speed handling. I was coming around a corner and went right into what looked like a truck's lost load. Gravel, heavy chains, and about 6 4 foot long 4x4's.

Smacked a 4x4 with my back wheel after I bunny hopped the front over, I then proceeded to start to go down, but got a foot out and down. Kept me up, but ate a cleat in the process.

Came to a stop fairly quick because my back wheel was pinned against my caliper. Had to release it to roll down, cause I wasn't attempting any repair on that blind corner.

Back wheel wasn't dented, but I did lose pretty much all of the tension on the drive side. Got to a straight patch of road where I could repair it safely, and then got it as true as possible in a respectable amount of time, enough to get me home. The tension was all whack so with any kind of force it rubbed my brake pads so I left the caliper open.

Glad my new multi tool had spoke wrenches lol, and I'm glad I started running my tires at 100, or I'm pretty sure I would have went down.

Made it home, had my excitement for the day.

Sorry bro, unless you're doing hardcore touring you don't need to carry a spoke wrench.

But srsly that sounds like some ****. Glad you made it out ok.

It wasn't too fun haha. I was gonna cut my steerer tube when I got home, but I currently hate bikes, lol.

OH the caad handles on rails at speed.

Had to go to my wife's grandma's house to tear up carpet in the basement. Consoled myself by buying us new cellphones.

Today I had rehearsal and was not about to give up my parking spot, so I biked uptown across the French Quarter with an instrument on my back. Rehearsed then stopped at WalMart (necessary evil) to pick up a couple towels and as I was waiting to checkout a guy asked if it was a lute. He was right. Rode back home weaving through standstill traffic and oblivious drunks in red and purple jerseys.

Damn, Nagrom - glad you're ok. I would have eaten **** for sure.

Today I had kind of a sucky morning, then spent the afternoon working on my websites (not Tiny Fix). I found a great job opportunity I need to apply for Monday so I have to make sure my online presence is well polished.

I was planning to go out tonight but I'm suddenly being hit by an attack of the lazies. I think I should force myself to go out, though, because whenever this happens I wake up the next morning kicking myself for not going out and having some fun.

Ahh you know what? I forgot I'm going to an not-super-bowl hangout at Kuma's tomorrow so I'm gonna save money and calories and stay in tonight. I'll get plenty of friends&fun time tomorrow.
