Dressing up does no good as cyclists still sweat regardless of how cold it is. And eventually that sweat will saturate all layers of clothing and render their insulating capabilities ineffective. And in fact, there is even an extreme likelihood that once all layers are saturated, the sweat may in fact conduct the cold right to the body. And once that happens, you are in deep trouble! Being in that cold sweat, you may as well be staying in the water during a polar plunge for a prolonged length of time. And that is the absolute surest way to catch hypothermia!
Good science right there.

Yeah I'm the one that found that link (via a blog called Lets Go Ride a Bike) and posted it on Tiny Fix. Be sure to check out the attached drawing which you can see in the full non-mobile version of the discussion here.

In other news, Cards Against Humanity is back in stock.

test drove a scion FRS today.

drives cool. wow so close to ground. they shoulda turbo'd it tho for the vroom vroom. but where do u put the bikes?

so now it's mazdaspeed3 or FRS, but I feel like the MS3 will be a more useful car for bikelife and it's cheaper by $2k.

also, lol, going from 4 speed truck to 6 speed sports car is a whole bucket of fail.

toyota car salesman threw a total hnngggggg at my truck when i pulled into the lot tho.

Wasn't trying to take your thunder on it. I just saw that you hadn't posted it, and I wanted to share. Also, that guy seems like a moron.

Today I found a quote that really ruminates in me:

Girls don't make any sense, so don't bother trying to figure them out.
Interesting.

Credit Unions are awesome. Well at least my local one. Can't stand BOFA. Would totally close it down, but I use it to transfer money to family and they make you jump through hoops of fire to close it.

Do they not realise that people who go skiing and snowboarding sweat too? What a stupid person. Back on topic, Today i'm off to my LBS to find out what the damage on the rest of the parts I bought for my bike is going to be. Then I have to call up my bank and find out why my pay for the last 3 weeks hasn't come through.

Even worse, when boarding you go really hard for a few minutes then you sit fully exposed 30' up in the air for a few minutes and repeat all day.

Ignore if this is too personal.

Did you put it off due to depression and/or anxiety? I was melting inside when I walked in to set up mine. I will probably do the same when I decided to close my account in favor of a credit union.

Yeah but you should always have some fireball for the chairlift up to keep you warm. I remember swigging fireball and chewing on beef jerky to keep me going on the windy days on the chairlift up at big white just near you! I really miss that place.

And back on topic: Just went to the LBS and the damage isn't too bad and I really like how my bike's all come together, pretty happy right now!
