Shirley, give my greetings to the new brunette.

OneTinSloth 11-03-04 01:19 AM

my van tuyl is called "highway robbery." but most of the time i just call it "the pursuit bike."

the old black romic i had was named "jolly roger." i was going to build it up with gold phils, gold open pros, or gold veolcitys, and find some gold campy cranks. and other gold stuff too...with little skull and crossbones stickers along the top tube. three on each side, right by the seat tube. but alas, it was just too damn long for me to ride comfortably. so it went.

i want a new track bike so bad....a white one, with sky blue track ends and seat stays. i would call it shadowfax.

That bike shouldv'e been called "onlylittlepeoplewitheightfootlongarmscanrideme."

My bikes, my furnace, my computer, my house, they are all named Grendel. But then I reserved that name back in 1987. So my exclusive rights to it would have trumped yours had you decided to name yours that.

HereNT 11-03-04 03:51 AM

I thought I mentioned that part of the reason that I am asking is to make sure I don't accidentaly take someone else's name. :)

trystero 11-03-04 04:10 AM

Right. Now you know which names aren't available. Though I don't recall seeing 'gimp' anywhere on the list.

HereNT 11-03-04 04:21 AM

That's something you keep in a box in your basement, right?

trystero 11-03-04 04:59 AM

Quit making fun of my Sturmey Archer hub collection!

HereNT 11-04-04 09:51 AM

Her name is Gala.

jfmckenna 11-04-04 10:10 AM

Nice yea good one.

kjorissen 11-04-04 10:24 AM

Adara - Welsh name that means "catches birds".

Ken (Alec's friend on the Cross-Check)

[Edit: Suggesting a name after the winner has been announced, that's what I get for not refreshing before posting.]

i just call mine my girlfriend.

on a side note the reason sailors named their ships female names for the most part was so they always remembered to treat them like a lady.

Well that's no good for a bike then. Perhaps you could name your bike after a dog, so you always treat it like your...nah, nevermind. ;)

The Bianchi is Spencer. He's sort of a metrosexual.

The Nishiki is Harriet. She's a hot librarian with fenders and a sweater.

Hot Librarians? I've worked in a few libraries, and I thought those only existed in pornography.

I haven't found the pornography section of my library yet. Hm...Where does that fall in the Dewey decimal system?
