Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I remember this bike going on closeout at sun&ski earlier this year for $350ish, and now I see one has popped up for sale in my neck of the woods for $275 (also with the assumption that most people would think he paid $700 for it I'm guessing).

Anyway, how much would you guys offer on this particular bike in "very good" shape? I'm thinking $200. I remember the last time I read a masi speciale thread a lot of people
a) thought it was essentially just an overpriced kilo and
b) thought it was ugly as sin.

I'm okay with the look (would probably put risers on it), so I'm just kinda wondering a ballpark in other people's minds.

If you can get it for around 200 bucks, that's a pretty good deal.

I think 200 would be a pretty good deal. But I kinda doubt he'll go that low. I'd say $225-250 is a fair price, as long as it's still in really good shape.

I really like the horizontal dropouts with derailer hanger. But that's just me.
