My current leather ones are falling apart.

Why singles when you can have doubles?
Have you given thought to cutting scrod's deluxe ones?

Been wanting a lock up bike for a while now and I have found a Pake Rum Runner the older ones with a 1" fork and a khs flite 100 for the exact same price which one should I get I know pake is an economy brand and flite 100 is just a kilo tt but which is better? I have no expierence with either company so I would really like to know.

I'm sure you already ride single strap so this info is useless

after riding doubles for so long I made the switch to a single strap (brooks, too poor for double) and it just feels way less 'safe' for lack of a better word. the double makes me feel all warm and cozy, like my foot isn't going anywhere

I totally see that, but I don't skid so it's kind of a moot point for me. Plus I don't care for the way doubles look.

both are 56ish

Serious question: how do you plan to convert the top one to fixed? Because other than a whole lot of hunting and pecking for the right ratio or an eccentric axle [and maybe a halflink] I'm out of ideas, and both of those are a pain in the ass for someone who didn't set them up.

I don't think he planned to.

Should I sell my Kilo complete for $360?

It's just barely too big for me.

But I like the bike.

Hm, not sure...

I like the Bolt colorway better than the Histogram's. I'd rather get a LOW for the same money.

no brainer, especially since you're capable of building one up yourself if you have any buyer's remorse.

Holy crap that looks huge

Leukybear 05-02-12 09:45 PM

If I was a giant I would.

On another note, the TT height is SoOoOoO intimidating to look at.

Sherblock 05-02-12 10:03 PM

Yes

bfloyd6969 05-02-12 10:21 PM

For future reference - should I get the Wabi wheelset (Jalco/sealed Joy Tech), or the Velomine Open Pro/sealed Formula?

Open pro/ sealed formula have been long street proven; the economical workhorse of wheels of SS/FG. Not sure about the wabi BUT the wabi brand is a overly hyped brand in these parts that everybody talks about and nobody buys and the person that does is not very satisfied.

I've had a wabi wheelset for a while, quite satisfied. Did my ms150 on them. quite light and very affordable.

I love my open pros as well

IthaDan 05-04-12 03:11 PM
