I would get a visp and send it to him, but then you would still be stuck with a visp, so yeah, don't bother.

Im trying to sell a set of wheels, and this guy offered me a bike in trade for the wheels. Should I? Im leaning towards no....

Wheels that I will be trading for this are Velocity fusion laced to velocity rear hub, and some random front rim that works pretty well

should i pick up this trek 1000 for $160?
comes with mavic wheels. Its a little big for me but i would wanna use it to commute with. Just wanna know if thats a good deal or if i should put that cash towards something else. Its really clean with no dings/dents anywhere.

this isnt the actual bike but a picture of the same model/color.

I had an opportunity to buy the exact bike you have pictured, but then I rode it a couple miles and no longer had any interest in it. Looks sweet, doesn't ride sweet. Plus the internally lugged, glued aluminum makes me nervous. None of the components are particularly good. Unless you're desperate for a road bike, I'd pass.

Not bike related:

So I'm having trouble selling this damned mac. I think it's because of the hard drive size. It's a 256gb SSD. Technically, the SSD is an upgrade, but I think it's too small to be used as a primary drive.

Should I pull the SSD, spend $90 on a 1tb HDD, and sell the laptop, and the SSD separately?

I think a 256gb SSD would be easier to sell, as well as the MPB with a TB.

or should I tough it out and keep trying to sell this damn thing as is...?

I wouldn't put anymore money into it. You just have to wait for the right person. How much are you selling it for? Is this a first gen unibody w/ a C2D?
Oh yeah 5400rpm tb drives are no bueno; you can't beat 7200rpm. There's no 1tb 7200 laptop drive BTW, I've waited a year and a half. The best you can get is one of seagate's hybrid half ssd/hdd momentus XT drives as a good compromise between sheer storage and performance.

Yeah, its an A1297.

I honestly think it would be easier to sell with a larger hard drive, and I would recoup my losses on the tb (and even make some cash) selling the SSD separately.
As for the price, I have been completely open to offers, and have yet to get a single one. Thinking about listing it on ebay BIN, but don't know what price I should put.

Specs that matter:
8gb ram
2.53 intel dual core
256gb SSD
Snow leopard
512mb VRAM

And the thing is ****in mint, theres not a scratch on it.

Oh it's a 17" model; there's your problem there. That's a bit too hefty to be a portable facebook machine or college workhorse. Even a 15" pushes it.

Woah I just noticed it's pretty loaded too.

Yeah, bigger and higher end Macs are a bit harder to sell than like a $700 MacBook.

seriously if i had the money for it i wouldve probably bought it by now, its actually got 6 gb more than my 6 year old macbook pro and twice the memory

that extra 2" is a real pain though. when i used to dj bars i would occasionally use my friends 17" and it mustve weight 5 more pounds than my 15" and didnt fit well in my bag with my other crap

Should I get a Catlike Whisper while they're only $139.95? I have a cheap bontrager helmet that does the job but I don't like the way it looks. The fact that they're clearing out from being $279.95 makes it pretty appealing. I just don't have a ton of money.

Ok now I have a guy interested in my road bike, and I was thinking of either getting a aluminium frame, or chicarb.
I looked at the Soul frames, and they look pretty nice. Are there any other suggestions? Budget is around $600

Should I do a low flange DA track hub in the front and a high flange in the back, or would that look weird?
