Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

If you can find fenders that give a good line, sure. What size are the tires?

Yeah you'll be ok. I tried to put a set of p55s on the stumpy with 1.5" tires and it looks like complete **** no matter what I do.

Sweet. My co op gives you credits towards used parts for volunteering, and they don't have much that would fit on my caad or kilo, so I'm gonna pimp my Nishiki out, haha.

Pics to come.

Should I go with a KMC D101 vs HKK Vertex vs D.I.D Daido chain?

Should I sell my pursuits, buy some risers and then get https://www.waldsports.com/index.cfm/wald157basket.html for my kilo so I carry 12 packs of bottles and load it up with stuff when I go on long rides/beach/camping?

I'm thinking hell yes.

Should I get a Langster Steel frame + Carbon fork or Jamis Sonik frameset? The jamis is the clear winner in terms of geo for the drome, but I've been wanting a new frameset.

Should I convert my singlespeed cross/commuter bike into a dinglespeed? Currently have a 42x16 setup. Thinking of picking up the WI Dos Eno 16/19 freewheel and a 39t chainring. So the setup would be 42x16 (71 gear inches) for onroad and 39x19 (55 gear inches) for light offroad.
