I'd keep it stock if you care more about looks. I had a wound up on my cdale track but I took it off because the stock fork looked nicer/ more appropriate.

Should I size down or size up?

My ftp is a 54 and I feel good on it. Every frame I look at is either 53 or 55. The most important thing I should be looking at is top tube length?

Wound Up forks look bad on anything that doesn't have standard size steel tubing, IMO.

i'm a 54 and prefer going down to a 53 or even a 52 with a 110/120mm stem, respectively.

head tube length can be important, too, for saddle/bar drop. i typically only look at this for used frames with pre-cut steerer toobs tho.

I dont think the fork would necessarily look bad on my bike though. I figured I may upgrade from steal if I could and get a nicer fork that is drilled.

Should I get Nashbar rollers from Craigslist for $50 instead of getting a new stem for my CAAD?
I was going to go -17deg 100mm instead of the -6 or -10 stock 100mm stem I have on now.

I am leaning towards the rollers. I dont think the new stem will make that much of a difference.

Rollers if you're gonna use em. I probably wouldn't need to take off my socks to count the number of time I used my rollers though.

hahaha less than 11 or do you have six fingers? could be 13.

or you could be a real freak and it could be 15.

should i ... sell my FTP as a frameset and save up for a 1" njs bike?

the powdercoat is SO unique and only has any meaning for me, so i'd be taking a HUGE hit just on that alone. but someone may like it. and the seat tube isn't cut super low but it's still a seat mast. I have the seat cutter for it.

I love the ftp but it's just... not... well, i'm finding that i don't want to race track again or at least when i do i won't want to be competitive(just... you know... semi-competitive) and a steel bike would be awesome.
plus this GT olympic track fork and jaguar stem and post and 123aa's and strong g grips are just too pretty to sit on a shelf.

plus i could use the all city fixed in the meantime if i really just had to have a fixed gear for some reason. i wouldn't even mind racing it on the track if i never find an njs build.

basically... the FTP newshiki is totally mine but it's such a bastard i'm starting to think i don't want it around forever.

If you can afford them now, why not?

Do it now, my birthday is coming up. You can use that as an excuse.

Plus, you can resell the B43's to recoup some of the losses. B43's are terrible.
Have you considered the Archetype? Only a tad shallower, but they have a 23mm profile which I love. Substantially lighter to.
