I can, but it seems pointless.

but at the same time I want them.. maybe Im just bored at work and need to get of the internet!

Muffin Man 01-25-13 12:28 AM

Putting substantially lighter wheels on is one of the best things in the world.

Do it now, my birthday is coming up. You can use that as an excuse.

Plus, you can resell the B43's to recoup some of the losses. B43's are terrible.
Have you considered the Archetype? Only a tad shallower, but they have a 23mm profile which I love. Substantially lighter to.

I havent really looked at those. Ill check them out. Im a heavier dude so I thought the f30s would be a little stronger. if that all even matters.

Dixie Gentleman 01-25-13 12:29 AM

would it be ******** to replace just the front now?

If you replace either, it should be the rear.

Dixie Gentleman 01-25-13 12:37 AM

yeah, but i was thinking the b43 on the front would look silly.

Nagrom_ 01-25-13 12:41 AM

At least you might benefit from some slight aero benefit from the deep front rim, and the easier acceleration with the lighter rim in the rear. But if you're shooting for style points do what ever you think looks better.

if I could get them for $250 might be worth it

Nagrom_ 01-25-13 12:47 AM

You won't. That's a newly listed auction.

Dixie Gentleman 01-25-13 12:49 AM

even at $400 thats still better than anywhere else I've found. dont really want something that deep.

Nagrom_ 01-25-13 12:53 AM

Yeah I was gonna say, pretty much the same as B43's, idk what they are though. If they're eero's theyre heavy as hell. If they're FF's, theyre pretty dang light for what they are.

Look into archetypes.

yummygooey 01-25-13 08:43 AM

get archetypes to formula from velomine

Mumonkan 01-25-13 04:54 PM

Should i get winter spd boots or just a pair of booties?

Dixie Gentleman 01-25-13 05:30 PM

messaged the seller they are eero's. too bad.

Reeses 01-26-13 01:29 AM

I think some gumwalls would look sweet.

You thought right. Do it!

Ann.Occupanther 01-26-13 11:11 AM

Red bikes and gumwalls are made for each other.

jpsawyer 01-27-13 09:52 AM

Should I rebuild my wheels with double butted spokes instead of straight gauge?

Scrodzilla 01-27-13 09:55 AM

Not worth the trouble IMO.

If you would have to buy pedals too, it might be a better idea to just get booties and maybe some wool socks. Keep them toes toasty.

Yeah i think so too, i dont know how wearing boots that are clipped in would feel either

Street rider 01-27-13 12:39 PM

Plus, they make really good booties that are both wind/waterproof, and they would be cheaper than a pair of boots alone, much less pedals.

Only qualm I have about the panaracers is that they only go up to 95 PSI. Will that have any effect on rolling resistance and speed compared to tires that go up the Bontragers I have that go up to 120 PSI?

I was going to go -17deg 100mm instead of the -6 or -10 stock 100mm stem I have on now.

I am leaning towards the rollers. I dont think the new stem will make that much of a difference.

I got the rollers. Pretty nice for $50.
A lot harder than the people on the interwebz make it look.
