Lul.

I haz Mavic Open Pros laced to Phils, and another set of Velocity DV to Dura Ace 7600. Should I un-lace both sets and re-lace the Phil Woods to Velocities and Dura Ace hubs to the Open Pros?

Nagrom_ 01-31-13 06:08 PM

and get new spokes of course?

seau grateau 01-31-13 06:22 PM

Sounds kinda pointless

The main reason is that I need to sell a set, and I prefer Dura Ace and my silver Mavic Open pro hoops over the Phil Woods and black Velocities. So I wanna keep the Dura Ace and Open Pros. That's why I'm considering it.

[h=2]Should I trade my Aerospoke for Mavic Open Sports[/h]I've had my Aerospoke for a long time and I'm one of those people who just likes the looks but I have considered switching to lighter wheels. My current setup is in the picture below and both wheels are pretty heavy. Front is an Aerospoke and the rear is a Deep V from State Bicycle Co. Since I've been looking for something lighter I found a person who will trade a Mavic Open Sport wheelset and a Cannondale systemsix carbon fiber fork for my front wheel Aerospoke. Do you guys thing this is a good deal for me and can I get some information on what I could do for a lighter setup. Current bike is weighed at about 22lbs with Aerospoke.

What are the open pros laced to? If they're laced to cheapo/ generic hubs you can get a pretty penny selling it on the street/ CL alternatively and buy a set new @ velomine while keeping some in your pocket. And orphan road bike forks are not worth much.

He's talking about trading his Aerospoke for Open Sports.

Actually reading posts before responding will cut down on confusion.

I did... replace pro in my post w/ sports then. Geez. Similar names caught me off guard.

bro 02-01-13 03:41 PM

well, the open sports look a whole lot better and are way lighter than the deep v+aerospoke combo, i dont know how much everything costs but as far as that goes i'd say it'd be a good trade

Dannihilator 02-01-13 11:04 PM

Should I take part in a TT this year on the 930?

Jared. 02-01-13 11:21 PM

Yes

AvionHD 02-05-13 08:49 PM

Okay I ended up buying the Mavic Open Sports but I have another question. Should I trade my 700c front Aerospoke for a 650c front Spinergy X. I know it's a lot lighter than my Aerospoke but what do you guys think about it. Pros and cons about it? How durable it is,etc.

Just NO. Spinergy RevX's should be considered taboo nowadays in cycling. They were not designed to last some 20+ years, even if it's a later model one, they haven';t been made since the late 90's. 650c wheels are worthless on the street. Just sell your aerospoke already.

Scrodzilla 02-05-13 09:06 PM

I'd rather have an Aerospoke than a Spinergy any day.

Spoonrobot 02-05-13 09:14 PM

Should I:

Buy a road bike and focus on road racing for the next year or so?

Or

Buy a track bike and focus on track racing for the next year or so?

I can really only afford to do one or the other. Kind of torn, both seem like they'd be super fun.
