Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Watch vs Handlebar computer

I need a watch for tracking mileage speed and all that, I figured instead of a computer it'd be better to be able to use it for other things other than biking. I was wondering if theres any watches out there that have gps's that will give me directions since im terrible with that. If anyone knows any please link me seeing specs for these things have me lost. Price range $150 maybe I can find something on sale.

You should ask in the Road forum.

Handlebar of course. It's always safer and more convenient to look straight down with both hands on the bars than say to have to uncover a potentially covered watch with the other hand and look while riding with one hand on the bars.

a watch with gps seems inconvenient. Why not just mount a smart phone on your stem, then put it in your pocket when you arrive somewhere. It tells the time, has gps, and you can make calls with it all in one

this, but you forgot plays music.....I turn on map my ride, stick Iphone in jersey pocket, and ride. I don't really care about seeing the data while I am riding.
