I just ordered a set of Nashbar TT bars. The bar ends look awful short. Are there better bullhorns?

how about barends on the ends of the bullhorns....ive been thinking that could be aweseome....sort of an aero/superman/hanging on for dear life look

However, if your stem is especially low, or you have a pursuit geometry (sloping top tube), you can think of the bullhorns as drops, if there was a bar connecting the ends of the drops to which you could attach a stem, and as such longer bars ends make for something to grab on to while you're in that tucked drops position.
I guess generally, bullhorns are the actual bullhorn bars, while often "time trial bars" refers to the whole "aero" setup of bullhorns + slambars, but I don't know if that convention is followed very strictly.
If you're looking for something with more bar ends, check out the Nitto bars here.
Hope this helps.

I'd like to revive this thread, if I may, to ask the following question:
Do nashbar timetrial/bullhorn bars have any drop? ie are the "horns" lower than the clamp area?
(You'll be happy to know that I am planning on putting a pair on my mountain bike...which is more of a MUTANT bike at this point)
thanks fixoids

Whats wrong w/ that? before i got my fixed, all i had was a mtb with slick tires i rode all over the place. on longer rides i wanted to lean forward, esp when going into the wind. So i attached some of the clip on aero bars. I've seen many people do this.

I saw clip on aero bars on 45 year old rustbucket granny bikes when I was in Amsterdam. Or maybe I just hallucinated it...

I thought I’d bring this thread back for its year anniversary.
Nashbar tt bars are 10 bucks now plus they have a coupon deal for 10 percent off going till july 1st. I just got mine today. They have a 40mm drop and I like em so far.
Coupon code is jn75

Does anyone else remember the mtb dedicated aero bars scott used to make... I really really wanted a pair back then when I was younger for the long rides across town to get to some of the trails... fortunately by the time they where on clearacnce and I could afford them I had decided I didn't like the idea so much anymore.
