Don't listen to Pat. He likes to fall off his bike at maximum speed.

Yoshida champ grips are what I have on my b123AA's at the moment. I also use strong V grips. These are my favorites.

Do avoid soyo grips without gloves; they leave nasty blisters. And oury's are a joke.

Go with grip tape. You'll have A LOT more options.

This. Unless you're riding on the track, track drops aren't very functional.

I'm reminded of this every time I want my bike to look pretty and put on drops

Road drops and good bar tape. I am a fan of the Fizik tape and gloves, or the specialized roubaix tape and no gloves

Cotton bar tape is the least comfortable tape I've ever put my hands on.

It's grippy but harsh. Also, sweat quickly causes it to become disgusting.

Just went from Oury's with riser to compact SR road bars with suede bar tape. Just picked up some NEW orange cork bar tape from the co-op for 5 bucks! Wow I can say that the new bars are awesome but take some getting used to/adj, its a good thing i keep my tools on me! I do say my abs are getting a workout now! Good luck.

Digging these. I don't really like the feeling of bar tape, just a personal thing. I am getting the Eighth Inch bars, very shallow. I've heard good things.
