Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? front rack bag project.

Hey all. just wanted to share my recent project with everyone. a few days ago I was looking for a good solution for my front rack. I found that although my rack is amazingly useful for larger items. it was hard to find a good middle ground when carrying smaller items (wallet, phone, lock, 40oz) so I end up carrying a small hip bag for all that stuff anyway. I also found that the selection of bags that are designed for that are either crazy expensive, too small or just really ugly. on top of those reasons even most cycle specific bags didn't have any way to attach to my custom built rack. so I went and bought a bag from brooklyn industries that was the same size as my rack for 35 dollars, and decided to modify it for my specific purposes. below are some photos of it on my bike. for now its tied on with sash cord. but I want to integrate some kind of locking rod to the rack so my bag doesn't run off while Im in the bodega getting a beer.
