Micargi Bikes
my friend is looking around for his first FG, i went with the normal bikesdirect route and got myself an hour (kilott was sold out in my size) now my friend is looking to buy and has his heart set on getting one of these

there is the link to the site. i have little knowledge of these bikes or of the general quality of bike parts specified in this build. i told him to just go with a motobecane track but hes liking the lower price and that he can pick that bike up in city of industry. so what should i tell him? get the bike he wants or ditch it and get a motobecane?

that site is horrid. eesh
i would say just go with the bikesdirect... seems safer. and the fact that this bikebuyers is selling hi-ten steel frame is a bit outdated

I wouldn't buy a bike from a site that finds it necessary to put "we guarantee these bikes are new etc." in all caps, underlined, and highlighted in red. +1 to bikesdirect if cost is an issue.

The Motobecane Messenger has a butted frame which means it'll be lighter by a bit, and it has dual-pivot brakes which are significantly better than the ****ty single-pivot brakes on that Micargi. The rest of the parts are probably roughly the same. The Messenger is easily a better deal.
