Got a twelve of Alaskan Amber ale. Still fiending for some Red Stripe, but it wasn't on sale and the Alaskan was on the shelf next to it so it had to taste the same right? Right? Wrong. It's pretty good, but it's sweet for a beer. |

I really wish I was drinking this instead of nyquil for my perpetually swelling throat. Saranac makes damn good beer. Black Forest Lager is awesome.
Must be something going around. I'm working on the same 12 pack of Saranac. Having a mid-afternoon Vanilla Stout right now. I can just TASTE the calories in it! |
love the Black Forest. not enough schwartzbeirs available in the US.
my daily commute (in bike weather) takes me right past the Saranac (FX Matt's) Brewery. :) |

Just had a tasting of the Rasputin 12, Firestone Walker Parabola, and Goose Island Kentucky Breakfast Stout.
That was tasty. |

for whatever reason, inexpensive American lager goes -really- well with the Filipino chicken adobo i'm making. so:

Yesterday I tried an amber ale that I brewed, only been in the bottle two weeks so it's a little too green and needs more time in the bottle.
Last week I got an urge to drink cheap beer so I picked up a 12 pack of this: http://livinginolympia.files.wordpre...ympia-beer.gif So I guess I'll be having one or two of those tonight. |
