It's my second beer from Speakeasy and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Definitely worth picking up if you can find it in your area.

Spent the evening at the Folk Music festival and had a blast... saved the drinking for afterwards.

A few fingers of rye are wrapping things up nicely.

Not great but not terrible. I'd say it's one of the weakest IPAs I've tried.

rms13 08-10-13 11:56 AM

I didn't realize hipsters were such beer snobs. I thought everyone drank PBR and high life

jdgesus 08-10-13 12:10 PM

hipsters are now old and parents.

seau grateau 08-10-13 12:24 PM

Bike snob --> beer snob. Natural progression.

oh man. bulleit is great. their rye is excellent too - i might even like it better than the bourbon. other good affordable bourbons & ryes:
buffalo trace
templeton rye
woodford reserve
old overholt rye

jack is gross. i bought a huge bottle of it on sale forever ago and can't finish the damn thing. big mistake.

Maybe it is a "hipster" thing, but I know in the Seattle area especially that micro-breweries and craft beer are fairly prominent amongst the youngsters - myself included.

johnnytheboy 08-12-13 02:14 PM

we finally got a trader joe's so i downed 2 bottles of $4 wine last night.
everyone was right...their cheap wine is great!
(i drink wine about once every couple months, so i might not know what i'm talking about.)

jack was literally the first drink i ever had so we gots history, its nothing special by any means and the night usually ends badly once i get started on it
i dont drink very much either so its one of those "if it aint broke dont fix it" feels

thanks johnnytheboy 's & girls :)
i think i might have to get both the bourbon and the rye, who needs a working car anyway?

bro 08-12-13 04:30 PM

recommend something for me. i like lion stout and dirty bastard and **** like that sometimes, mostly i drink just like busch, pbr, high life, hamms, red stripe, nattys, coors, **** like that, but i also drink i alot of ipas, double and imperial ipas are where its at

do you guys know anything that is mad flavorful but not like, thick and super filling? theres this place called table & tap downtown that has like 2345 beers, there were these ones by vivant(i think?) those were tight.

yeah i dont know recommend me something ive never had before and ill try it. i might just say **** it and get fat tire or magic hat something. but i'd like to try something newwwww

johnnytheboy 08-12-13 04:50 PM

johnnytheboy 08-12-13 04:55 PM

90 not the 60.
There is a diff.
****s like 300cal a bottle tho.

bro 08-12-13 04:58 PM

hahahah. cool, so i wont have to eat food that day. okay, 90. zipped.

seau grateau 08-12-13 07:29 PM

90 Min is the jam. My current fav is Peak Organic IPA and I'm also all about White Hawk from Mendocino Brewing Co.

Right now: Henry Weinhard's IPA. I was at the store the other day and it didn't have ABV printed on the label, so I decided to play my favorite guessing game--the guess how much alcohol is in it game. I judge on a combination of taste and how drunk I get, then check my guesses online. Totally nailed this one. As a beer though, it's just aite.

I'm a huge fan of Chainbreaker right now, mostly cause it's summer time and it's perfect for drinking by the river.

Outside of that I drink about 95% Rainier or High Life.
