My favorite bar has honkers, and most other goose island varieties, for $2 a bottle. Honkers is whatever, I just wanted to rub it in your face.

My favorite discoveries of the month were:
Starr Hill Boxcarr
Java Head Porter
Well's Banana Bread

Beer nomenclature means dick-all these days, that's how.

It's an ale and it's hoppy and IPA's sell very well, so it makes sense that they'd call it that. More honest folks call these sorts of beers India Dark Ale, India Black Ale, Cascadian Dark Ale and probably a thousand others (hey, why not needlessly throw Imperial in there, too?), but IPA is recognizable even by non-snobs.

Not drinking anything but that reminds me, I need to visit the liquor store to restock. Anticipate whiskey and beer(s)

Any die hard beer geeks will be jealous of this. Was fortunate enough to try some of this. Didn't get to go inside the Abby, but sure did sample some of their goods in their store across the street
