(and as to the undercurrent, i didn't drink for 16 years because the guys around me used alcohol as an excuse to do really awful things. later i had sports goals to pursue and alcohol didn't figure in. now i enjoy beer/wine as food/part of a meal and not as a vehicle to get messed up....) |
