That being said and getting back to hammy's question, I think my steel bike would be a Bareknuckle or Godzilla. My aluminum bike would most likely be a Dodici Gara (although the 2012 model doesn't do as much for me as last year's) or a Livery Aluminum Aero - or both. :)

Also, wtf with the hair man? My **** wouldn't do that if I tried. My dreads are zero effort. I literally just stopped brushing it.

you should just make a subforum for formerly stickied threads :P

I'll be back in a bit. |
Dear Scrod,
How do you carry your stuff while riding? Do you put in a jersey? Or do you carry a hip pack? (I'm not even going to ask if you have a saddlebag...) And what do you carry too? |
Thanks man!

not really question, just comment:
I love how you run your online shop and only carry more or less sensible products at correct prices. There is just the right balance of form/function/price throughout the store. question: how do i wrap these lizard skins so they don't slide down my bars? My roommate did his bars last week and the wrap seems to be sliding. Is this a normal problem for the lizard skins? All i have heard on here is that they are the shiz. I've never had that trouble with LizardSkins. are you removing the paper from the little adhesive strip on the back?

I usually always have a stubby 15mm wrench, multi tool, Co2 inflator and a couple of cartridges, self-adhesive patch kit and (usually) a spare tube. |
Cool. And 52/17? Do tell...
|
Just for yesterday's ride. I ran a brake and a machined front rim too.
I usually stick with 49/17. |
Awesome.

Ok. The bro who sold me my concept was running a miche bb. He stripped the tightening threads and drilled the cup to be able to get it on and off. incredibly stupid imo, but I have decided not to ride it until I get a new bottom bracket.
What would you suggest? Don't really want to go low end shimano, but the matching Sugino 75 bb for my cranks is around ~$100. Should i just splurge for the sugino? |

The Sugino 75 BB is great but will require fairly regular maintenance to keep it that way. I've had absolutely no issues with my Protype from Ben's an as I said to Leuky somewhere else, I'd rather replace a $35 sealed cartridge BB every now when it wears out and then than have to mess with caged ball bearings.
|
Scrod, are you using the retrogression hip bag? I need something to replace the bag I usually carry on my leisure rides(it tends to slip and dig into my shoulder sometimes).
How secure is the belt? any slippage? Is the bag comfortable with a full load?(u-lock, multi tool, patch kit, co2 pump, spare tube, etc.) With the bag I'm currently using my u-lock will dig into my back if there's a lot in the bag. |

Here's a pic taken the day after: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...lla/toes-1.jpg BTW - "Sweet & Dandy" is a song by reggae legends Toots and the Maytals. |
dear scrod, please tell us all there is to know about love. your girl is an adorable 8 and you are a caveman-like 2, so you must know some secrets. or you just have a huge dong like two beer cans stacked.

I really don't know how the poor girl does it (but I'm glad she does). She's been putting up with my brand of bull**** for nearly six years now. We have a tremendous amount of fun together and are constantly laughing. That's extremely important. Even when we occasionally get grumpy and bicker about dumb stuff, we always end up cracking up. She's my best friend in the whole world. |
