When you said the tire bead jack was safe for carbon wheels if I was careful, what exactly did you mean? What should I be careful to do/not do?

Don't be heavy handed. If it feels like you're forcing it, you are.

Gettin in trouble. No luck with the LBS; they said they can only get in in white. Tell Angie thanks for contacting All-City for me; how long do special orders usually take? I've got ants in my pants

This is already being discussed via e-mail so there's no real need to post here. I'll let you know as soon as we hear back from All-City, I promise.

Should I use this fork until the repaint this spring and then get a better fork?

The Crank holder-in bolt on my non drive side keeps undoing itself and loosening my crank and then the crank starts to wobble then I get a power-cranks type scenario going on. Should I grease it? Loc-tite it?

I'm torqueing it down to spec, and it keeps loosening, with old and new cranks.

Yeah, but there's still an order of preference for me. I'll take a miller lite or PBR over bud light any day and Coors original over Budweiser. I really can't remember the last time I went out and bought a pack of any of these.

Miller High Life has been my all-time favorite beer for over 15 years. I do enjoy "good" beer too but High Life will most likely always be my go-to.

**** beer snobbery.

It's funny, I love High Life but hate Coors and would rather not even think about beer than drink anything Budweiser.

Hey Scrod man as my Wabi Wheelset purchase gets near i begun to wonder something. On the site it states that the axles are hollow to allow easy Q/R conversion. I ride my kilo as a SS at the moment and would love the simplicity of Q/R for flat s or what have you. Do you see any problems in using Q/R? Any recommend? Preferably chrome. Thanks

Scrod, How much of a difference in ride quality would upgrading my stock loose ball headset to an orbit X make? Or would just some maintenance and grade 25 bearings be about the same?

Edit: How often should I re grease the loose ball headset if I keep it?

Bikes: Civilian Le Roi Le Veut, Kazane Track, Ciocc Designer '84, Serotta Colorado AL 25th anniversary, '85 Guerciotti Pista, '84 Trek 660, Volume Credence

So today I ran into someone at the bike shop who was running a 26mm bar with a 25.4mm thomson stem, but he replaced the face plate with a 26mm thomson faceplate. Slightly smarter and safer or equally stupid and unsafe? If viable, this opens up more options.
