Why would you ask me this on BikeForums instead of contacting my shop directly? Also, all questions regarding shipping are already answered on the FAQ page found on our site. |
I see the faq now. Thanks.

Apparently Unknown Bike Co. makes a 2.9 lb frame... for $349.
Surely, this must be a low quality frame for that price, right? Unknown Bike Co Type-1 Track Frame NOW SHIPPING! / Unknown Bike Co |

But it's SCANDIUM. I mentioned this in another thread and no one weighed in on it. I'm curious to know as well.

Scrod, how did you get into mopeds?

Sacndium is just another aluminum alloy. What you have here is another cheap Asian aluminum frame.

Also, maybe this is a silly question.. I have roughly $200-$300 to spend on a new wheelset.
On your site, the Miche Pistard set is on sale for $250. There's also an H+Son Archetype/Formula set that's up for $250. Out of those 2, is either one strongly preferable? Or are they fairly similar in terms of quality. |
Archetypes are a little lighter but they're pretty similar overall quality and either one will hold up just fine. Rims on the Miche set are Ambrosio Pistas.
Miche hubs > Formulas. |
Thanks.

Have you tried the new all city rings yet?

Hey Scrod Love what your'e doing at retrogression Grade site. My question regards the All city thunderdome. I am around six three and a half do you think that the 58cm Thunderdome is to small for me
|
So I'm looking for some drop bars to replace the risers on my Iro Mark V. I want a drop bar that's somewhere between a track and a road bar: has the nice curves of a track bar but not such an immediate and drastic drop so I'm holding the bars on top right next to the stem. Here's a couple I've found that have grabbed my interest:
Deda Elementi Pista handlebar | Retrogression seems like there might not be enough room on top? Gran Compe Drop Bar ? Factory Five these caught my eye but i'm not familiar with gran compe plus doesn't look like it's a 31.7 clamp Deda Elementi Newton 31.7 Deep Drop Bar > Components > Handlebars and Stems > Drop Handlebars | Jenson USA or Deda Elementi Newton 31.7 Shallow Bar > Components > Handlebars and Stems > Drop Handlebars | Jenson USA nice but expensive That's really about all I've found that's close to what I'm looking for, Scrod do you have any suggestions? |

Hey Scrod, I'm new to these parts and I don't know where else to find an answer to these questions.
Under every username there's a space for Mentioned Post(s) and one for Tagged Thread(s). What do these designations mean? |
Look at the my profile page and click the 'mentions' and 'thread tags' tabs for examples.
When someone does this - @Route 66 - you'll get a notification and it will show up on your profile. It's a good feature if you don't visit the site very often and someone replies to something you said that may have gotten buried but not many people utilize it. |
