I've got two of them, a 721 and a Cretin, and they're fine. It's just the 2015 725 and 735 that are the problem. Anyways, the point that Scrod is making is that it's the Leader owner's attitude that's the problem here, not the design flaw. Apparently, there is a 2mm nylon washer fix that Leader claims is effective, but Scrod thinks is bs that is the problem. In any case, I can completely understand why Scrod won't sell them anymore, even with a supposed fix.

Is the seat tube one solid piece all the way down to the bottom bracket, or is the seat clamp assembly (as we'll call it) welded to the top tube and seat tube in a sort of three way weld orgy?
Also wondering if the seat tube has a giant hole cutout where the top tube comes in?

I've been following this conversation and have a question. This nylon washer thingy that you mentioned. How was that (claimed) supposed to remedy the problem? I'm just curious because it sounds suspect to me, and I'm guessing the answer might be entertaining.

if I had to guess, and I don't, but I am, I'm guessing it keeps the clamp from closing too much

It fits in your butthole to keep it from puckering too much when your seatpost suddenly slips down.

Haven't that one in a while. The hits just keep on coming in this thread!!
Seriously, I've been wanting to do a build on a Leader frame for a while but I have one project that has been waiting three years to finish. Just got my parts from Retro yesterday. Hope to get it up and going by Sunday.

I've seen a 2 735's with same issue in dublin. Leader need to mea culpa the **** up.
Do feel like I need to give a shout out for the 722 heritage lo. Absolute beast for the price. Fast, stiff and responsive. 0 toe overlap even with 175mm cranks

Any recommendation for IRD Satin Stem?
Hi Scrod.
Saw a link you posted for IRD stems earlier in the thread. Can't seem to find any reviews online for the satin threadless. Don't really have the cash to fork out for a nitto u-22. Do you know if they're any good?
Thanks
Slim

I'd use it on one of my own bikes without any question. They seem very well made and the polished finish on them is nice (similar to Nitto or Velo Orange).

Is there a black version of the nitto s83 post? Im looking for a two bolt set back design. I was running a Thomson but need some setback to get my saddle where it needs to be and a setback thomson won't insert far enough. I haven't found anything so far. Thoughts on a quality blqck set back two bolt seatpost?
Fwiw i have a s83 on it now and its perfect, except for the color...

think id explode if i took the wheels you built for my track bike, and used them for an sscx bike with rim brakes?
theyre 32h 2x with lasers and nmsw A23s
im leaning towards no explosions just ugly sidewalls
