When are you getting more Retro cycling caps back in stock?

Might be a stupid question, but when buying an after-market seat collar, do you want to get the exact size as your seat post? Or slightly bigger?

Because the Cinelli Vigorelli uses a 31.6 seat post, yet the Phil Wood seat collars come in 31.8. Is that the one I would need for it? Or do they just not make one for that size?

Think about that for a second. If a 31.8 fit, that would mean the tubing wall is only .2mm thick, which is about as thin as a sheet of paper.

You need a 35mm seatpost clamp for that frame (or as some manufacturers call it, 34.9mm).

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense if I actually think about it.

I'm getting ONE loud knock out of my NDS crank arm upon take off from a stand or whenever applying full force rotating forward immediately after applying resistance/backforce. It happens once, usually only if I apply full force or weight and then goes away on normal cadence. I'm also getting some mild creakiness when applying significant backforce coming down hills or slowing down quickly. My buddy at my LBS thought it might be my BB spindle needing a clean/regrease. Did that and still happening. I'm thinking it might be the pedal(s) needing the same treatment. Your thoughts?

Is the shimano bbUN55 compatible with campy record pista cranks? and what lenght spindle should i run?

Why not just do it right instead? You need a 111mm ISO spindle with Record Pista cranks.

If you really want to defy the correct way to do things and go the 'ISO crankset on a JIS spindle' route, the closest you could use and have an acceptable chainline is 107mm.

Besides the official Campagnolo BB & Phil Wood's...are there any others that offer a 111mm ISO?

I know someone using a 109mm ISO Sugino Super Lap BB with Record Pistas but because those crank arms have a very narrow Q-factor, that setup isn't going to work on all frames.

I've in fact searched and found a thread where scrod argues with some campy distrubutor. There was talk of some catastrohpic failures when not using the right bb on one side and it works on the other. But that was on some older versions of the cranks... if im not mistaken. I guess i just need reassuring

I'm sure you could search and find a thread where I'm arguing with just about anyone.

Older Record Pista crank arms were prone to cracking around the square, even when using the correct BB. I've never seen a modern set have that problem. If the Record Pista BB is too expensive for you, get a Veloce.
