When I die, no funeral. Funeral services are an incredible waste of time/money and no one ever wants to go to them. If those closest to me wish to get together and have a good time laughing and remembering our times together instead of sobbing over my awkwardly stiff body lying in a box, that's cool with me.

That's a pretty large scale. I will say that I like mine a lot.

The factory "lube" on most chains is only present to keep them from corroding in the packaging and will dry out very quickly once the chain is being used. You should clean that crap off and reapply real lube ASAP.

It's only good for a couple of rain days. Around here you don't have to wait long for a couple of rain days, then you gotta wash, wipe and lube.

there was a tire thread way back with the same theme...that paselas run small. i can't remember whether it referred specifically to tgs or not. at the time i was looking for tires, went for the regular paselas to save a few bux & got 25s cuz i wanted to try smaller tires but was not quite ready to commit to 23s, so it seemed like a good compromise based on the info posted in that discussion.

well...the 25c paselas (not tg) that i got ran huge...much bigger than my previous 25s. in fact they are close to 28 & there is almost no clearance under the front brake.

the reason i question this is that it is time for new tires on another bike & i was leaning towards going with the pasela tgs this go-round. but i want bigger tires on this bike & the discrepancy in my experience from others has me concerned about what size i should order.

I've never used regular Paselas so I'm not really sure.

Overhaul the bearings in my rear hub to get ready for the snow (the wheel has seen a couple thousand miles and is overall pretty muffed up on top of this) or save a little extra cash and build up a new rear wheel?

That is my experience too. Paselas run BIG, not small.

My 25c Pasela TGs measure 23.7 mm on my digital caliper. It's weird that the standard Pasela would differ so much in size.

What hub/rim are you using now?

I think it's awesome in a totally :wtf: kind of way.

An Alex DA16 laced to some no-name hub, probably just an unbranded formula, or something along those lines. If I went the route of a new wheel I think I'd either a) go smart and economical (kinlin/novatec), or b) get a second cxp33 to complete the wheelset. Interested to see what you think more though, obviously
