that equation gets your hands over the axles but doesnt address bar height or saddle placement or the right reach. i do dig a rearward seating position, which is lower than a more forward one.

at your height, youre fighting being too cramped, and you have the reach and the strength to handle anything erring on the long side or aggressive side.

Let's give this another go....
The bontrager tires are not going anywhere, I actually like that particular tire. http://i423.photobucket.com/albums/p...0/103_3727.jpg |

And different rear cog.

I am way too good at this :(

was gonna wait till I replaced my stem and handlebar setup, but I need procrastination from studying. so here it is...

any other stickers, acetone the stem graphics, silver brake lever, boring rotor really have to be picky to come up with something! cranks are an improvement. still badass/10 https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...60354915_n.jpg radial front, trade top for end lever, reach too short right now, saddle too far forward right now, black clamp and post and crank, dirty chain, white saddle, saddle tape mismatch, unwrapped where its actually used mega classy/10 |

whats wrong with radial front? just curious.
|
move your saddle down and back. the bars will be a bit farther in front of your bum but no farther from your feet. the actual distance from your bum and your hands hasnt changed much since the bars have relatively come up a bit too. you can even afford to lower your bars the same amount as your saddle if you wish, and the same amount of drop will be more comfortable since you now have weight distribution shifted away from your hands. the change in weight distribution is the big thing.
|
just experiment. some are happier with saddle forward weight distribution for the triathlon theyre training for, chode reach for twitchiness, mad aggy drop for aerodynamics, upper torso upright like a sail for aerodynamics, elbows locked out for arthroscopics, track racing issue drops used only for checking ones knee reflex, white rims to match your belt, black cranks to match your bleeding soul, and all the cred in the world.

more than 24 radial spokes is like wat.

yeah i just changed out my seatpost so i'm still trying to find that sweetspot. i'll do what you said and move the saddle back and lower the stem. if all else fails, i have a bike fitting in san diego that i have yet to make time for, suppose to be pretty legit.
|
id just leave the stem while messing with the seat down and back to limit the variables. also, take note of your original position first so you can get back if needed.
|
|
I could use some constructive criticism as well. I am all over the map with this thing changing rims, risers to drops, all different color parts and clipless to clips and straps.

The **** at that drop bar angle.

After riding it around, I feel that a longer stem would actually feel better.
