Recommend a Hoodie
So, it's getting cold here and the hoodie I've been wearing for years is done. Does anyone have a good one they'd like to tell us about? Hopefully, that would be good down to 35-40 degrees or so with a thermal/flannel/sweater underneath. I've tried Carhartt insulated-too short. I've tried American Apparel and it's expensive and not very warm. Cheapo Target and the like hoodies seem to suffer from both. I'd rather have a sweatshirt type hoodie than a Patagonia/North Face type jacket for comfort/cost reasons. I love a good hoodie, I guess. Chrome seems like they have a good one, but it's way expensive. I'm willing to spend about $80 for a good one. Throw your wisdom upon me, please!

Cool. Thanks for the link. Will definitely check them out. That's the kind of thing I'm looking for.

Hoodies are hoodies. Go to a store and try them on. If you like the way one looks, it's comfortable, and it fits, buy it.

Does anyone have personal experience with any model of the Nixon hoodies? Kinda hard to tell from the internet. They look a lot like what I need, though. Kinda hate large logos on clothes, but I'm a function over form guy when it comes down to it.

I apologize. I should have have been more specific. I guess I'm looking for a "get me into late fall/early winter in Chicago hoodie" with proper under layers. That is more like low 30's-high 20's at night. At that point it comes down to insulated hoodies or ones that are made out of more efficient(expensive) materials. I agree with EpicSchwinn about sweatshirt hoodies. Just wondering if someone has found something like that for around $80. Sorry for any confusion.

I'm trying to figure out what this has to do with ssfg. Do people have trouble with their hoodies getting caught in the cranks?

Seriously. It's a hoodie and you obviously know how to use the internet. Use Google.
