The short version: I got shot while living in Wilmington, NC by some punk ass kid who tried robbing me and a friend as we were walking through a park late at night. I smacked him twice, he pulled a gun and I took one right under my left armpit. I managed to crack him in the face with my friend's skateboard right after catching the bullet, knocking him out cold and splitting his face open. I thought I killed him and didn't give one single ****.

I also remember the adrenaline rush being the most incredible thing I've ever felt - like I turned into a werewolf.

It didn't hit anything vital but it sure did ruin my favorite old Black Flag shirt.

This guy should sue, either for them coping his bike or the fact that now he's going to have to change his bike so people don't think he's on a Walmart Fixie.

What did they replace the seatpost with? I was curious about diameter, and whether better replacements exist.

This thread needs to go away, I think all of us, minus OP agree that this bike is junk.

I disagree. I think they'd be great for polo, or goldsprints, with the right modifications.

The components may be junk and maybe the frame as well, but I volunteer at a bicycle recycle shop where we repair and donate bikes to underprivelaged kids and I must say that the moat common repair on all of the old Walmart bikes we get are things like derailours and swifters. We rarely if ever come across a bad frame.

Swifters can really make or break a bike.
