good tires

Lookin for a good quality 700X23 tire that also looks good. preferably a solid color with no words on it. somethin that is durable too. no brakes but no skids either. just a ten mile commute every day. have to spend a fortune replacing gran compe tires until somethin tough and stylish comes along.

any thoughts?

Schwalbe Duranos have done right by me.

calv 11-28-11 09:54 PM

Panaracer RiBMo, Schwalbe Durano, Pasela TG are all good tires.

I love mine too, but he wants something he can skid on. Sorry apparently he doesn't skid, but he rides brakeless. Still in case of an emergency skid or two, I would recommend gatorskins.

He said he doesn't brake or skid. Just get hardshells and call it a day.

Scrodzilla 11-28-11 11:16 PM

Which are the exact opposite of what you asked for. Those tires are crap.

Jaytron 11-28-11 11:19 PM

What is up with new people asking for advice and not taking any of it. We might as well just troll them all, all the time.

zonatandem 11-28-11 11:22 PM

We use Maxxis Re-Fuse tires on our tandem.
Yes, has white lettering, but black liquid shoe polish should cover that up.
Sounds like you are more into 'looks' than good tires . . .

Muffin Man 11-28-11 11:31 PM

I don't think half of these new people have feelings. Maybe that's why they don't stick around. :P

I was surprised at how this thread started off with people actually answering a question like this (Bizarro BF?). Answers are easily attainable.

Then I kept reading and saw the direction the thread turned. What a relief.

Gontinental Vandonneurs or Cittoria Ratorskins get my vote.
