good tires

Lookin for a good quality 700X23 tire that also looks good. preferably a solid color with no words on it. somethin that is durable too. no brakes but no skids either. just a ten mile commute every day. have to spend a fortune replacing gran compe tires until somethin tough and stylish comes along.

any thoughts?

I love mine too, but he wants something he can skid on. Sorry apparently he doesn't skid, but he rides brakeless. Still in case of an emergency skid or two, I would recommend gatorskins.

He said he doesn't brake or skid. Just get hardshells and call it a day.

Which are the exact opposite of what you asked for. Those tires are crap.

What is up with new people asking for advice and not taking any of it. We might as well just troll them all, all the time.

We use Maxxis Re-Fuse tires on our tandem.
Yes, has white lettering, but black liquid shoe polish should cover that up.
Sounds like you are more into 'looks' than good tires . . .

I don't think half of these new people have feelings. Maybe that's why they don't stick around.

I was surprised at how this thread started off with people actually answering a question like this (Bizarro BF?). Answers are easily attainable.

Then I kept reading and saw the direction the thread turned. What a relief.

Gontinental Vandonneurs or Cittoria Ratorskins get my vote.
