i was told that too. the company started in denver, then moved to sf but kept their manufacturing back in colorado.

Nope. The superpro has a built in padded strap. Its all thick,
cushy, and comfortable. I'm rockin' a mediu just like Terror.
(cool picture-thingy).

and side note: When I ordered mine guess who picked up the
phone, placed the order, answered all my emails? That's right.

chrome bags are supa-cool. the 70's looking seatbelt strap/clasp is an awesome design.

Yeah, but it makes it easy for one of you buddies to push the button while you have a heavy load causing it to fall right off your back.

nice ReLoad. When did you place your order? Ellie got back to me about mine on Jan 6th and told me 5-6 weeks. Just wondering if they've been able to keep to that schedule.

Bikes: a disassembled bianchi lynx i'm gonna convert to ss, a felt roadie with carbon fork, and my baby blue peugeot roadie conversion. a couple sizes too large.

165 -- nice! how much did that run? i was a little sketched on the cost, though honestly i didn't go there and just specified my colors.

ceya -- you're right, i miss the metal clips for the straps. you could really crank those down tight. i did manage to swing one of those timbuktu reflector clips and they fit perfectly, so it's all good.

Wow somebody remembers besides 165 how good they were. Yes That was a major reason they were good. Strap wheels on them and they will stay PUT!

What is a strap wheel? Anyone have a pic? I checked reload's site and I don't think I saw a detail pic.

the bag was a buck eighty five, and worth it all! i had saved a bit since last november...

ryan, habitus, neuron - thanks, RELoad Seattle once again delivers. Great company for sure.
as far as timeframe, they are on schedule. solidly on schedule.
and charlesw - "wheel strap"-I believe Ceya is referring to the metal buckles on the old DeMartinis and how they were the best when it came for heavy ***** getting strapped to your bag and staying put. Not plastic buckles to accidently release or break under duress.

Bikes: Yes!

About Timbuk2 bags- does anyone else think the velcro closure is stupid? I've got one and have never used it...I should get rid of it.

[165]- I was half-expecting to scroll down and see the drunken bird on your bag. I like that it's a caption bubble but nobody's saying anything.

165!!! That bag kicks!

As for "wheel strap"... how many people here have had to ride
home with a busted up wheel strapped to your back? It took
a long time for me to get the grease stain off my bag after that
sad ride.

Bikes: custom Klein MTB

165 is that a custom "courier" model? I plan to get a ReLoad but the 15"H x 19"W x 10"D courier seems really huge and the other models look a little small.

I have ridden home with a full bike strapped (wheels taken off) to my old RELoad - it fuggin hurt. 3 miles with various bike stuff digging into my spine. And the bastid who asked me to help did not even offer a beer or two for the effort.
The grease stain came off, but the anger never did...

They are kind of stupid, I know what you mean. But I use them ocassionally like when I need to cross the hall but don't want to buckle up the bag just to unbuckle it again.

Yeah, didn't realize the courier and the deluxe were the same size - size was my main question. I just noticed that with ReLoad you can change dimensions of a bag for $5 which is sweet. Any suggestions on bag size? If I get a 15"H x 19"W x 10"D and don't fill it I dont want all this extra bag hanging around.

so the next question one must ask: what the F*** am I putting in this bag? I would prefer a larger bag than smaller - call it an old habit.
Be prepared.

RE: RELoad. Compression straps, baby! no other way to fly. the bag compresses down nice and tight when you don't have a large load.

The RELoad was good for taking home my spank new phil hubs. I couldn't get them as tight as the demartini, but it worked -- using the holder clips up top. i also used it to hold onto a frame from b'burg to the slope. blew a tire going down flushing ave, only when i got off the bike did i realize how freaking heavy the ***** on my back was. nice.
