sugino 75 question
Hey guys, I got a sugino 75 crankset that's 167.2 mm install on my bike and I also have just the driver side sugino 75 grand mighty that's the same length. Do you think I can just replace one side and I can still ride without any problems or will this do damage to my bb?
thanks

thanks

Well, if he doesn't have to buy a new arm then it saves him money.
EDIT: I may have misinterpreted the situation. If you have a complete set, I would use that. I don't see why you need a grand mighty on one side.

if something is wrong with the drive side 75 then you should be able to use the grand mighty without trouble (i think). it certainly won't f up your bottom bracket, you just have to worry about your Q factor being off (the distance the crank puts your pedal from the centerline). if nothing is wrong with your 75 crankset and you just want to have a "grand mighty crank" on your bike, then just ride the matching set. no one is going to **** on you for 75's

The only difference between a standard 75 and a 75 Grand Mighty is the finish. The Grand Mighty is purdier. Moar hipster pointz.

yeah... there isn't any hipster points for running half a grand mighty on your bike. If anything, it's more of a reason for a thief to nab it.
wait till you come across a non-drive side arm and then run the set.

Yea i picked up a driver only....i just figure it's more durable or what not.. the finish on it seems to be better than my regular 75's. Thanks guys.. I might just hold off on it.. hopefully an arm will come up..

The only thing its going to do is give you a janky looking mismatched crankset. Its not more durable, or stronger, or stiffer in any significant way than your 75s.

I'd just run the 75 crankset and Ebay the G.M. arm. Or just buy the other arm, fortunately you already have the more expensive drive side.
And there is nothing wrong with running a regular 75 crankset, that's cool enough (if that's what you're after).
But just like deciding when you're gonna take a ****, this decision is up to you.
